Romanby Golf & Country Club

Course is excellent. A lot of variety through the holes, and everything is kept immaculate. The one downpoint of the course is most of the greens are pretty flat and not too challenging, they may have a slope (down towards water) but nothing challenging, so land anywhere on the green and you're pretty much unchallenged for a putt.

Usually the course is pretty good for pace of play and only one time has there been a queue at the first tee and then a lot of holdups throughout the day. It happens though so isn't a big deal as long as it doesn't become a regular thing.

It helped that it was a beautiful day, but we had a lovely round at Romanby. The course was in excellent condition with very fast greens. It's a challenging course with water hazards, large bunkers and plenty of undulations.

Travelled here from Leeds and have played here a few times over the last few years. It was a little disappointing on Sunday. Bit of a miserable bloke in the clubhouse who served us a bacon sandwich and coffee, not a great start.

The course itself looked on the tired side, which is a shame as the layout is brilliant. The greens were the biggest disappointment. We are now mid May and greens should be of a high standard now but these were very bumpy and patchy. It probably would have helped if they had been cut but it looked like they hadn't seen a mower for 3 days. That resulted in very slow surfaces. The rough around the greens was like US Open stuff and needs a cut also.

I'm not saying this because I played bad, in fact I had a good round. It was just very poor condition for May and looked a little neglected.

Great course need a buggy for back nine if getting on in age

Been playing Romanby on pay and play basis for a couple of years and it gets better and better

With tje latest rains the fairways and greens are playing superb and othe course everything to challenge the mid handicapper

If i didnt work away so much this would be the only course i would consider jouning as a full memmber

Love the greens, fairways are relatively wide couple of nasty holes for beginners but overall great layout, I use this course as a standard to judge others by as it always seems to be in great condition year round. Great value with a fire deal

The course was is immaculate condition so early on in the golf season. Great course with some stunning views across the Yorkshire landscape. Some tricky water hazards that need to be avoided but overall a great course to play for all levels of ability

We decided to play Romanby for a change to our usual course. We had coffee and bacon sandwich on arrival which was excellent and met with friendly service. The golf was extremely cold but the course was fantastic for this time of year. Cant wait to play again in the Spring!

Great course great facilities could not.have been better. For £13 from teetimes it was brilliant.

This is a well laid out course, perhaps 30 years old but maturing nicely. A good challenge for all golfers, the only disappointing hole is 7 a very short par 4 but each other hole both varied and a good challenge

Found this course on teeofftimes was excellent. I found the course quick as it wasn't too busy and loved some of the holes. Will definitely play again!

Played here as a 4 ball, found the course in very good condition despite the wet weather. Greens in good nick!

This is an excellent course just on the outskirts of Northallerton. Has some fantastic feature holes in particular the 11th and 13th. Will definitely be visiting again soon!
