Considering there was 4inches of snow on Saturday we still managed to play 18 holes 1st 9 holes twice but could have played upto the 13th well done all staff

Well presented course fairways quite wide enjoyed playing will definitely play again

I've played this course plenty, always enjoy it. New to the other players and they loved it. Tough at times but gettable. Greens were good and off normal tees

Hmm strange one…

Off the course, facilities are really good, staff and members all friendly.

Course… muddy tee boxes, course was wet but still allowed buggies on, pebbles/stones in the bunkers and slow greens.

That said, I did only pay £20 and played end of October so I’d give it another chance summer time.

Course was great for this time of the year, fast round, pro shop staff excellent.

The course was wet but played nice. Greens were good for time of year. Tee boxes generally poor is only real gripe. Nice staff and good facilties. Lots of groups out in 2s and 3s made it feel like a rushed round unfortunately.

The course is always in great conditioning and there are some very nice, challenging holes.

From the moment you arrive, you receive warm welcomes.

Starting at the pro shop, one is always made to feel welcome.

Then in the clubhouse after playing, the bar staff are very friendly and helpful.

Overall, this is a great place and always worth the visit

First time playing Romanby and it didn't disappoint. Each hole offered something different. Great amenities and all for a great price. Will definitely be playing here again.

2nd time playing one of the best in the north east for me

As before the course was fantastic the staff were very friendly especially the young lad behind bar who remembered us from our last visit busy and hot day but 5 stars from the Doncaster lads 👍👍

Very slow play and greens had just been hollow tined with seemingly no sand backfill.

Some interesting holes but not enough to go and play again

Great course ,we’ll looked after ,great price and a sunny day to boot ,what more could you ask for ,maybe a buggy .

We’ve enjoyed Romanby before. The front nine has a few nice holes- if unspectacular - the wedge to the second and the driveable par 4 7th about it really. The back is more interesting with some blind shots and elevation changes with a few holes requiring strategic placement.

However two things- one inevitable, one so frustratingly not so marred the morning: firstly the greens had been tined and the fairways in places had huge cuts. This is necessary part of golf course maintenance but probably wasn’t reflected in the green fee. The second was the ridiculously slow pace of a group a few in front. 4h30 for a round of casual golf is poor by anyone’s standards. Romanby is not alone in this but…
