An enjoyable course in great condition for winter

First time playing here and would definitely visit again. The course was in really good condition for January with no winter greens or having to play off mats. Pace of play was quick for a Sunday morning. Two of us got round in 2hr30 and were offered to play through a couple of groups which was nice. Hilly front 9 and longer back 9 provided a nice variety. Friendly staff and a nice bar area at the clubhouse. Great value for money

Good test

Not the longest course but a nice challenge, particularly hole 4 and 15 into the wind. Despite the damp weather conditions fairways were good, greens played true. Staff were friendly and informative and we enjoyed the views of the surrounding countryside.

Worth a visit.

Not bad but a little pricey

Hardly a tee booked on Sunday morning so can either take your time or race through. Damp course and lots of leaves about but not much they can do about that. £25 is in the expensive side for what it is as the greens arnt brilliant. Staff are always excellent, friendly and helpful. Overall happy…. Apart from with my score !

Great course. Great value.

Played after 3pm on a Saturday in late October. Winter Tees. Course in good condition. Hollow time work on greens but they were good enough.

Very quiet so slow play wasn’t an issue . It looked like some tricky rough sections had been cut back/ improved, so the course seemed more forgiving than last visit 4 or 5 years ago.

Amazing views. Great value at £15/ round. Very happy. Thoroughly enjoyable experience. Definitely recommended.

Rothbury

A course of contrasting nines, 2 cracking par 5 holes back to back. Back nine flatter, with tree lined fairways, a good challenge. Highly recommended

Poor greens

After being recommended this course by a couple of people that played last year I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately the state of the greens let it down, moss and weeds.

Nice spot but unfortunately lots of people teeing off from 9th

Played 18 holes and course is situated in lovely scenic setting. Back 9 is noticeably better than front nine and people obviously know this as multiple four balls went off from the 9th which slowed play after hole 9.

NONE

I HAD BOOKED A 4 BALL FOR A GROUP OF US WHO GO DOWN TO THE NEWCASTLE AREA.

UNFORTUNATELY, I GOT ILL WITH SHINGLES SO I COULD NOT PLAY.

I APPROACHED THE SECRETARY TO AND SEE IF I COULD GET MY GREEN FEES RE EMBURSED BUT SHE WAS QUITE SHARP SO ASKED IF I COULD GET A BUGGY TO FOLLOW THE CHAPS AROUND BUT WAS TOLD NO YOU WOULD HAVE TO PAY £25 FOR THE BUGGY.

CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WOULD THE POLICY IS FOR CANCELLATION DUE TO ILLNESS?

WE WILL NOT BE USING THERE GOLF CLUB AGAIN
