What a cracker

No idea how I’ve missed this course up until now, it is proper grown up parkland (with a hint of heathland) track. There’s only one hole that lacks a bit of imagination, the 11th, which has an uncharacteristically flat unprotected green (prime for redesign). The par 3s are all around 150yds and stunners, and there’s great use of the contours on the par 4s making for really enjoyable drives (two or three are blind) and second shots to well protected McKenzie greens. Not a course you’ll enjoy if hacking it round (due to rough and trees), but a real joy if playing half decent. Clubhouse fab also, with great snooker table.

View's was unbelievable.

Every hole on the course apart from the 7th had unbelievable views , when I did a bad tee or shot I looked up and seen the lovely view and it took me away from the shot I took, the course was great, the green where maintained well.

The guy in the pro shop was great help.

We will be back to play another round even though yhere was many hills to climb.

Good hike and good game.

Unpredictable Score

The scenery is stunning. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The course is very hilly and results can be very unpredictable even after good shots. Need to hit on one's portable mat on the fairway though. All in all, it's worth a visit.

Lovely views

Nice course. Very hilly with some great views. Had tibiae matts to take shots from fairway witch was a bit annoying and two greens were on temps. Would have given 5 stars if these things weren’t in place.

Fabulous course

Great day very friendly and helpful people greeted by a very attractive lady with a smile and a free drink certersy of the club prow Thanks. The very attractive lady let me go out a bit earlier than booked which ment I just hat to follow a 2 ball to guide me round. This course is boutifull and in great nick the views you get from most holes are picture book a good mixture of holes not to difficult to play but it is a good walk. Went back to give that lovely lady some one liners but she had gone home. Maybe next time..

To rough

Got a hot deal £15 for eighteen holes bargain thought I was playing on my own but was partnered with a three ball really enjoyed Jim Daz and Joe’s company all three were true gents the course played firm so one or two drives down the middle ended in the semi on the sloping fairways. The rough is brutal no chance of finding your ball a few blind tee shots annoying . However the views of the moors simply stunning. Overall well worth a visit

Great course

Struggled to find it due to roadworks but a truly hidden gem. Very friendly pro shop and members, course itself in great condition, a few climbs to get the pulses racing but balanced with some downhill drives, and fantastic views from every hole. Highly recommended.
