Scarborough South Cliff Golf Club

First time playing at Scarborough South Cliff. Played Bridlington GC the day before so was looking for somewhere to match that, South Cliff definitely did!

It’s worth playing the course just for the views from the 4th and 5th holes. Unbelievably beautiful, especially in the lovely we got this past weekend!

All the staff in the bar and the shop looked after us and made sure our day was fantastic!

The course was difficult in places for our standard but didn’t take away from the enjoyment at all.

Will definitely hope to come back one day!

It was my second time of playing the course,and considering the winter we have just had,the course was in remarkable condition,2 of my party had never played the course before,and they both said the course has that come and play me again factor,to which I agreed whole heartedly,the variety of the holes is amazing,

A great layout. Always enjoy the mix of parkland and semi links holes However never seenthe course in such wet condition. We are now in May and this is far from competition ready . A lot of bunkers need a lot of attention. .it was good value for the price, but would have been disappointed if we had yo pay the full asking price.

Good value for money course was very wet in places due to a lot of rain in last few weeks greens was in great condition some was fast and add big breaks in them especially from close distance pace of play was very slow I was on my own and took nearly took 5 hours to get round don’t think is worth the full green fees at this time of year but I only paid £26 for it in golf now so it was well worth the money will be back some point next year hopefully in the summer when course should be in top condition

Awesome championship course, each hole gives you something different to think about. The views on the links part of the course are second to none, castle views to the north and Filey and Flamborough can be seen to the South. Superbly kept and friendly, helpful staff. Will definitely be returning

First time playing Scarborough South Cliff and what a day, managed to get there early for coffee and sandwiches then we were told that we could tee off earlier as no one was booked before us.

The course is in great condition and the coastal holes are wonderful with views of Scarbourough and further down the Coast.

The Pro shop is well equipped and the staff were on top form.

Overall a great day and a must play for all handicaps.

Just remember though this is on the coast so be prepared for the weather to change anytime.

The views from the middle holes on the coast are stunning. Friendly staff, fast play, greens and fairways in ver good shape. Lots of uphill / downhill / side hill lies, but such is golf along the coast.

We played at 6pm so unable to comment on facilities but the course itself was superb. Members were very friendly too. There was a matchplay medal on and they were still more than happy to allow us to play through. Greens were in excellent condition. Only downside which isn’t a reflection on the club is at places the course can be unforgiving if you don’t know the layout. I feel a second round would have had my score better just with course management.

Love playing here even though it’s a 2 hour drive. Course was in lovely condition. The greens were a little slower than usual but we’ve had a few days of rain prior. Good after the round was lovely and the bar staff and pro were great as usual.

Cracking course as always, fantastic condition, quality greens, loved it! Can’t wait to come again in September for the golf week!

1st time me and my freind have played the course excellent views. Greens were brilliant will defiantly be going there again. Staff very friendly and helpful keep up the good work .

The full course was in excellent condition and the view from the 5th tee was amazing
