Surrey Downs Golf Club

The course was in excellent condition for the time of year, especially considering the amount of rain we'd had in recent weeks.

No temp greens. No winter tee boxes. The only problem ATM is the bunkers - all were GUR when we played, but had lots very heavy rain over the winter.

I enjoy this course. There's some interesting holes and good variety across 18. Layout it good (9th back at the club house and no long long walks between tees and greens).

Great value for money. Very friendly staff. Modern clubhouse.

Really looking forward to playing here in the warmer months.

Always in good condition - I have played this 3 times at various times of the year.

Summer it was in amazing condition, but even in the wet cold of December the greens and surrounds are in good condition, fairways are not too muddy. It’s a short but interesting course with a few risk reward holes. The only down side is a couple blind tee shots but if you play safe it’s fine.

Played for the 1st time in over 10 years. The greens were immaculate! I don't remember them being so true! Fairways were great too although the rough was brutal.

Will defo play again and will even look into membership is it's in great condition again!

Course was in very good condition, greens very good. Excellent value for money. Played 7:35am on a Bank holiday and not very busy at all. No signage on tee box’s in a negative.

Lovely course but greens are being worked on right now

I've played the course before, and the greens were great, and I fully understand they need to be air rated periodically, however, with no notice on the website, or communication of the conditions when the booking was made or when checking in at the clubhouse ahead of the round the condition with HEAVY sanding made the greens unplayable. Better signage around the course and some sand in the bunkers wouldn't go amiss. Luckily I've played the course previously and use Arccos otherwise I could see those unfamiliar with the course struggling at times.... a little would go a long way

Booked this a couple of days before so was surprised there were spaces. Greens were in great condition. As a two ball we worked through a couple of four balls but was no problem. Baffled that the bar was closed at 09:00 on a Friday but not the end of the world. Will play again.

Course was in very poor condition, weeds all over the fairways and tees and general lack of investment everywhere. Bunkers were impacted by heavy rain earlier in the day but weeds and general poor maintenance clear to see. £29.50 green fee is too high, there are better local options available, Attempted to get a drink at 6pm but were made to feel very unwelcome. We won’t be retuning.

A decent and well maintained course but guilty of packing too many people on the course. We were a two ball and the round took almost 5 hours!

If you are a beginner the fairways are quite narrow with very deep rough leaving you little to no chance of finding the ball. This is probably for safety reasons due to the other hole positions and some precarious tee boxes.

A nice enough course otherwise, very friendly staff and good scenery.

Very enjoyable course. Rough was very thick but understandably due to weather conditions.

Fairways were not short. Greens were patchy which made putting a hit and hope situation (more than it should be!). Enjoyed the layout of the course but fairways and greens let it down unfortunately. Might be back one day in summer to give it another chance if reviews show an improvement.

It was the first time I played Surrey Downs and I won't be going back soon. The greens were covered in lumps of mud, the bunkers were full of stones, and there is a real lack of signage at every hole.
