Played before and today the greens which are good normally today were exceptional true.

Yes the the fairways are dry but all courses are like that.

So impressed I have book for 9 of us to come back next month for lads day!

Bar staff are friendly and welcoming and team events team also helpful and Friendly.

Very impressed overall just wish my scoring on the par 3s wasn't 5s or 6s!!!

When u 1st arrive ur a it lost as there is no clear sign posting to pro shop to check in had to check in at bar at which point we was greeted with a very friendly employee how was very helpful can’t fault the service course was in very good condition and greens are a challenge just what we was looking for about of local knowledge goes a very long way on this course especially on the greens a few blind approach shots to the greens also this course has a challenge for golfers of all levels only downside is the sign posting to next holes could be better as they are there but sometimes in wrong places on a couple of occasions the sign posting was 10-15 yards before the green we was on and we missed it and once past it and on the green had no idea where to go as we had already walked pass the sign before the green we was puttin out on but didn’t spoil the experience just could of been Better use of an app will help u a lot on a few holes as a few dog leg holes are unclear from tree as to which way the hole goes and u could end up carrying the ball too far on one line just to be blocked out as the hole sweeps left or right at 90 degrees a real challenge for someone playing the course for 1st time Not one flat green in the entire course the undulation on the greens is a real challenge so will 100% improve ur green reading and harder ur level the greens were abit slow the day we played but very true if ur lookin to improve ur green reading or pace control this is the course for u very good value for the price and a challenge for golfers off all levels would highly recommend in summer

Surrey Downs is a fair but unremarkable course. A Quirky lay-out but in good condition. Pace of play was a little on the slow side. The 'clubhouse' is part shop, bar and party venue but the food was fair but like the course, unremarkable. The price of everything is going up but £50 for 18 holes does seem a little high!

Greens were excellent and the fairways were dry so the conditions were not bad other than a strong NE wind which, with cloud cover, meant that the feeling was sometimes cold. Rough grass edging the fairways could have been shorter as we failed to find balls in there on a couple of occasions. A reasonable round which would have been improved had the weather conditions been better. At least it was dry.

You need to be pretty accurate around this course. Difficult for first timers but once you know it's quite short and easy. Few driveable par 4s. Greens a bit bobbly. But otherwise a good experience!

Course played really well even though greens were aeriated and sandy it didn't seem to affect the speed or roll much. Fairways and greens in great condition. Only thing at the moment is that many if not most of the bunkers were GUR as of 22nd March. I hope in the next few months they will be in play.

Course was in fantastic shape and greens ran fast and true!

Great course good fairways excellent greens and with great views with all the rain we had the course is dry no mud balls love the double green 9 and 18 over water .

The staff are really helpful and friendly and go out there way for you excellent bar staff 👏

Will be back

Played at end Feb after a very wet few weeks when other courses were waterlogged. This course drains well and was in very good condition. Good pace of play on a busy Friday afternoon. Good clubhouse facilities and very friendly staff. Recommended.

Everything was fine for the first 6 holes, then we got stuck behind a 4 ball, hitting tee shots 30 yards, losing balls all over, playing 8 plus shots each hole. At one stage there were 4 x 2 balls back to back behind. No etiquette clearly not understanding the concept of play through. Divots everywhere sadly people don’t bother repairing or replacing. Otherwise course was in good nick and a good experience.

Really nice interesting course, most greens very good, only one mat in the thick of rainy winter. Great value for £32.50 on a Friday morning.

From the time upon our arrival to check in at the pro shop then going out to play this splendid course then finish off in the fantastic club house for after round drinks, i must say the friendly members and bar staff made us feel most welcome this is one of my favourite venues to visit and obviously will be going back many more times in the coming year as the condition of the course was absolutely amazing considering the time of year and everything involved in making Surrey Downs a real pleasure to come along and play well done guys this place is going from strength to strength keep up the great work and I'll be back sooner rather than later thank you.👏👏👏👏🫶👌
