Towneley Golf Club

Play here regular, always good to play, the course is getting better and better the only niggle and it is only a niggle, is that some groups don't allow you through. Which can make for a very long round. There are plenty of opportunities to allow quicker players/groups though but "some groups" just don't. Only thing that let's it down

I'm new to golf and found this course really nice to play. You won't be punished too much from the odd duff shot.

I was on my own seen a old chap asked if he wanted to play he was on his own 3 guys jumped in front smoking weed tracksuites on we was right behind them ask if we could play past them got the look of death they was practicing on the tea box taking huge chucked out of the ground I don’t do reviews much but had to do this they don’t seem bothered as they get the money townley shame

while since I last played here, course was in very good condition and it was good to see the green keeping team working on the course making changes to some of the holes.

it certainly disguises the fact that this is a municipal course and stands up to many private courses in the area in terms of course condition.

After my round I popped into the bistro located above the pro shop, the food was excellent and very good value,

Enjoyed the round, great course and well maintained, the greens were excellant as were the fairways nice and firm, especially considering all the rain that fell on the days prior to my round.

Well done Towneley keep it up, I'll be back

Always love playing Towneley - great variety of holes. Shame that for the duration of the back 9, the three guys playing in front of me wouldn’t let me play through - hey ho.

Course was in brilliant condition. You wouldn't think you were on a muni. Well worth a round.

Fantastic experience, great layout, greens are in amazing condition and the same can be said for the fairways . Overall I was really happy with my round , think I might get my green fees here , and play once a wk instead of once a year

Greens were immaculate. Layout is a bit strange for the first time round there but still good.

A few players behind on the last 9 were playing right up to the 2 of us which was really distracting but not the course's fault.

Unfortunately there was a massive rave on in Townley park at the same time so alot of idiots shouting fore etc. Near the course but again, not the courses fault.

Will be back.
