Wortley Golf Club

Played here Tuesday with 2 others. I’ve only recently started golf and the course was perfect. Friendly staff and will definitely be back.

No complaints good price greens in great condition

Very good course, fast greens in excellent condition. Bar only had rolls and fries available for consumption, this was the only negative

I’m not sure if they crammed too many groups in, or people snuck on, but every single hole entailed a 5 minute minimum wait to tee off, usually longer. Came off after 14 holes as we’d already been nearly 4 hours.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable round of golf.

The staff and members so friendly and helpful.

Some greens and teeing areas I thought were a little close to each other.

Course was in great condition.

We will be back.

played this course several times now, always challenging without been hurtful.

Played Wortley before always been a nice course. Weather was sunny. played mid afternoon on Sunday , so no problem in pace of play. Fairways ok , however ,Tee boxes were not up to normal standard lots of divits , grass two inches high on some , Greens although receptive which was good for hiiting shots into green , they were very bobbly and not in the best nick, maybe it was after heavy use over weekend , but over all was slightly below good condition ive played before One more thing yardage markers on course would help , theres a few 150 yard ones but needs more , 100 and 200 yards

Wortley was in good condition considering the weather. Pace of play was good once a group in front had let us through on the 6th.

Picturesque view, lovely quiet place no road noise on any part of the course.

Staff on arrival were so friendly and welcoming. Didn’t feel like an outsider at all and offered up more than enough tips and advice about the course which was in superb condition with the only negative was they had suffered some sort of infection on some parts of the greens but were well on the way through the repair process and although some parts of some greens had sand on them ALL putts rolled true and they were very quick as well. I would like to thank the pro and pro shop staff for their welcoming and friendly behaviour towards us. Would not hesitate to play again and again. The course is challenging but fair course with some great par threes and apart from a four hole up and down stretch is a fairly subtle walk. A* every single day of the week.

Great course, great views and really makes your think as a golfer.

Thoroughly enjoyable wet Wednesday afternoon. The course played very well and better than expected as I know from experience it can suffer through wet months
