Redwood Canyon GC
Started playing this course about 15 years ago when it was called Willow Park. This location always has water issues in the fall winter this poor fairway condition in the spring and summer. In the last 2-3 years I was really disappointed in the conditions and pace of play management, ridiculously slow. As much as I love this course I was considering never to return. However, I returned on May 18th and was impressed with the improvements on the tee boxes, fairways and greens. Still can get better, but I was happy to see the effort cuz this could be a great course and glad to say I will return.

Water the Greens
I've played the course many times. I do like it. It has been looking better up until this week. The greens on the back nine were almost dead, Very Dry, cracks developing. They were very Hard and would not hold a shot. (Not even a high shot)
New golfers view the course as easy, as it is Not long, However this course is very narrow, and can play Hard and Fast. (causing many new golfers a lot of trouble/lost balls) Which, causes SLOW play due to searching for lost balls.
There is No Marshall to watch the pace of play.
Water the Greens.
While I'm at it, fix the fairway mower.and
Fix the Tee Box Mower.

Very disappointed
They double booked all tee times. It was miserable. It took us 3 hours to play 9 holes. We were charged a full rate on this. I won’t go back. We are owed a credit for this screw up.

Very Dissatisfied
Very dissatisfied they double booked every tee time. We waited 15 to 20 min on every hole. It took us 3 hours to play 9 holes. It sucked. I may never go back.

Course Staff Is Very Rude!
I booked my tee time on the website. There are no options to include carts. Called course beforehand we will need carts. The guy on the shop, despite the note that we need carts, still complains and gave us a hard time and tells us we should call instead of booking online. There are no notes on the website stating this. Prior to this on a previous round, that same rude guy did not give us a cart because he said the carts were already "reserved." There were about 20 carts before we teed off, and about 15 when we got to the back nine, then still around 15 when we were done. Incredible! I'm pretty sure this guy has been complained before but the course does not seem to care. Just a sample of how rude he was, a client on the shop asked how much is the callaway golf ball, then he asked which one, and the guy said the cheapest. Rude guy said why are you buying callaway if you want the cheapest? And he said that with a smirk and condescending tone.
This rude guy will drive patrons away just because he is power tripping every single time. And the course will still do nothing about him.

Very enjoyabel
Course was in good condition, but it was windy which made it a little chilly. Still a very fun round of golf.
Excellent value $35.00 with a cart.

pot holes on cart paths
course is in pretty nice shape, just get some gravel an dirt an fill pot hole on cart paths, it not that hard to do. Been awhile , it would be easier on carts , and on backs....

Good Value, Interesting Layout
We've been here before, and always have fun. The course crosses the entrance road several times, which always makes for an interesting round. Also, a couple of unique holes - one with the green about 100 feet below the green, and of course, the 18th - a par 6. Overall, fun and challenging for a casual golfer.

Worth the money
Nice course. Would play again. Carts run well but the seats are falling apart.

Beautiful Course
I enjoy playing this course. There are challenging holes, terrific scenery, creek that meanders throughout the course adding to its beauty and challenge. Greens are in great condition. Fairways are being improved and management is improving tee boxes. These changes will make course even better. It's secretly a must play in Bay Area and Castro Valley.

Worst course in California
No maintenance at all. Fairway feels like wild area. Greens are even worse. It is better to shut down than keep it open. It is a waste of tax payer money.
