Similar to Scotland
Just got back from Scotland and this course can seem like it with the wind and cold (fortunately no rain), and the ball really rolls. Greens are super fast and challenging. Bunkers are always in play but are well kept. Layout is interesting and makes you think about club and shot selection. Looking forward to coming back and also playing North Course next.
Diabolical Pin positions
I really like the layout of the course and it is in very good condition. The greens are very true. The day I played the pin positions were absolutely ridiculous. About 12 of the 18 pins were set on top of a plateau and about one foot from the edge which made for frustrating day putting…… To make it worse the practice green was “closed for daily maintenance” so I could not warm up putting. There was no maintenance done to the green the entire 40 minutes I sat there waiting to tee off. Right before I teed off at 8am a greens keeper drove by and told the starter the practice green was ok to open at which time he placed the flags in to the already existing holes and people began putting…. That and the bad cart paths were my only knocks on this course
Great course
Had a fun time golfing this course - the greens are amazing. Fast with lots of movement with undulations!
DISHONEST WORKERS
DO NOT PLAY HERE. The course uses a 3rd party cleaning service for cart return and those employees are DISHONEST. I left my range finder on the cart, went in for a beer at the restaurant, returned 20 minutes later and my range finder was "never seen".
Great course and staff but no bathrooms
Unfortunately Corica experienced some backup issues with their plumbing. The restrooms were closed for prolonged period of time. I arrived 45 minutes before my tee time and the bathrooms were closed. Fortunately I didn’t have an overwhelming urge to go. You can’t have all of your bathrooms closed
Course Mix Up
I booked a 4 some for the South course 1 week in advance. When I arrived to the course I was instructed by the starter that we were playing the North course. I was a little confused as I had booked the South course and I was looking forward to playing it. Overall the North course was a great track but unfortunately because I was walking, I had no visibility on yardages since the course had yet to be mapped by SkyCaddie. It made playing the course more difficult and less enjoyable for me. Other than that, the staff was great and so was the facility.
