About
Situated within the Oakland Hills, Lake Chabot Golf Course offers stunning views that stretch across Oakland, Bay Bridge, and the Lake Chabot area. The course has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1932. Slight changes have been made over the years to improve the layout but it has always maintained its playability. The terrain is hilly, which makes flat lies hard to find. Accuracy and precise shot placement will get you far. The stretch of holes from the 15th to the finish has the best scenery on the golf course. From the risk-reward 15th hole, you can see all the way to San Francisco. The unique final hole is a par 6 that plays to a whopping 673 yards from the back tees. It's a straight, downhill hole with a memorable view.

Absolute Fun
A super fun course that isn’t as long as some other courses. It offers alot of elevation changes and hilly holes. Signature elevated tee boxes on #9 is always a treat. #18 is my favorite as a par 6 650y beast. Recommend highly.
My favorite place
This course is always reliable and fun to play. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I have not once had a bad experience there.

Come and earn a Condor
Chabot is an awesome course to play. Steep ravine like tee opportunities all around. Shape your shot happens often. Stay positive. Well groomed fairways allow for that extra roll. Come play this beautiful gem of Oakland Hills.

Not the best experience...
Really difficult to find or see the green from the tee, fairway was often too hilly, green was too soft. Maybe a challenging course for others who like that sort of thing,but wasn't for me.

course conditions
the course conditions were fair. Lotsl of highh grass and watered to much. Pace of play was slow.

very fun course
Lake Chabot is a fun course. It has many interesting holes and lots of hills.
the 18th hole is a par 6 which I love.
The 9th hole is a par 3 where you can't see the flag but it is doable.
THe only problem was the pace of play was very bad.
