About
Situated within the Oakland Hills, Lake Chabot Golf Course offers stunning views that stretch across Oakland, Bay Bridge, and the Lake Chabot area. The course has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1932. Slight changes have been made over the years to improve the layout but it has always maintained its playability. The terrain is hilly, which makes flat lies hard to find. Accuracy and precise shot placement will get you far. The stretch of holes from the 15th to the finish has the best scenery on the golf course. From the risk-reward 15th hole, you can see all the way to San Francisco. The unique final hole is a par 6 that plays to a whopping 673 yards from the back tees. It's a straight, downhill hole with a memorable view.

Hot dog on 12 is mandatory experience.
Course is showing is age regarding amenities, (Clubhouse was built in 1940) but the layout still stands the test of time. Very significant elevation changes. Fairly wide open landing areas but some postage stamp greens. Drove the ball 400 yards on the downhill par 6 for the 18th hole. Still only made par. Greens in great shape. Pace of play was excellent and was on a Sunday.

Awesome views
Best mini course in northern California. Plenty of elevated tees with teachable part 4 from blue tees
First time playing par 6 at 667 yds first 450 friendly then remainder uphill.

My best golf corse
I has been playing many golf courses and I love Lake Chabot the most!
Nice set up, wonderful weather (not cold, not hot) , beautiful greens…. The staff are helpful …. Good place for learning up hill and down hill . I love the unique par 6. I love it so much!

Absolute Fun
A super fun course that isn’t as long as some other courses. It offers alot of elevation changes and hilly holes. Signature elevated tee boxes on #9 is always a treat. #18 is my favorite as a par 6 650y beast. Recommend highly.

Chabot is an awesome course to play. Steep ravine like tee opportunities all around. Shape your shot happens often. Stay positive. Well groomed fairways allow for that extra roll. Come play this beautiful gem of Oakland Hills.
