About
Situated within the Oakland Hills, Lake Chabot Golf Course offers stunning views that stretch across Oakland, Bay Bridge, and the Lake Chabot area. The course has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1932. Slight changes have been made over the years to improve the layout but it has always maintained its playability. The terrain is hilly, which makes flat lies hard to find. Accuracy and precise shot placement will get you far. The stretch of holes from the 15th to the finish has the best scenery on the golf course. From the risk-reward 15th hole, you can see all the way to San Francisco. The unique final hole is a par 6 that plays to a whopping 673 yards from the back tees. It's a straight, downhill hole with a memorable view.

Good value, fun layout
We played the twilight times, and it was great. Super fun course layout. The Par 6 on 18 is incredibly fun, and the back 9 has awesome views in general.
The pace of play is not bad for a public course with a good amount of beginners. We finished 18 holes in 3 hours and 45 minutes.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH
FRST OF ALL THIS COURSE IS ABSOLUTELY NOT WALKABLE SO BE PREPARED TO TAKE A POWER CART OR YOULL BE SORRY BY THE 9TH TEE IF YOU MAKE IT THAT FAR THIS COURSE IS WITHOUT QUESTION THE MOST UP AND DOWN HILLY GC i'VE EVER PLAYED AND WHILE IT HAS ITS VIEWS AND CHALLENGES IT'S NOT A COURSE I CARE TO PLAY AGAIN.. MY KNEES HURT JUST GETTING IN AND OUT OF THE CART TO HIT SHOTS ON STEEP HILLS AND UNEVEN LIES ON EVERY HOLE. .pUTTONG GREENS WERE JUST OK BUT PUTTABLE. I'LL CALL THIS COURSE A ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH.

This Course has Spectacular Views
Tee Boxes are in terrible shape, the fairways are all burn up, sand traps are overtaken by weeds, and the greens are soft and bumpy, but al least they are green. The Views of the bay and SF on the back 9 are amazing and the Par-6 18th is Always a fun hole to play.

The Tee Boxes are in terrible shape and fairways are burnt up. The greens were in pretty good shape. A little soft and bumpy but compared to the tee boxes and fairways the were good. Beautiful views on the back nine and as always the Par 6 18th is always fun.

Elevation changes galore, small greens make club selection tough,. Views of the bay are incredible at times!

Chabot
This course is super fun to play, unfortunately the condition of the course is what I would call ratty. And the condition of the course does not match the cost. The views however are spectacular. All in all it was ok

Not worth 34$
Greens were bumpy, no one fixes their ball marks.
Fairways brown, looks like add the courses need
watering and better greens, I`ve played this course many times and this is about as bad as it gets. Afraid to "hit
down" thru the ball, as you might break your wrist. Will be back in Oct maybe after a few rains. Or wait until next April.

Miscommunication between pro shop and golfnow
Pro shop said they don't have the booking from golfnow when I checked in. I have to find my reservation on cell phone to fix the problem. Hope golfnow will improve in the future.
