Lake Chabot Golf Course - The 18 Hole Course

Good course,lot of up and down hills.fast green,nice fairways, love the 18 hole par six,long and fun.l will play it again and again.

Too many groups of new players and zero Marshall guidance to move the play along. Also tee’d off 30 minutes late because they did not have enough carts.

The course itself is hilly, fun, and challenging on the sloping, fast greens. The views are great. We had a great time, just a much longer great time than usual.

Quick greens, challenging approaches, panoramic vistas, full grown pines throughout. Best course in the bay for the money!

Front 9 layout was good. 3 ot 4 holes in back 9 were ridiculous. No visibility of the flags. But for 18usd with cart ... best deal for the bucks

Lake Chabot is an excellent course. It has some very challenging holes and most holes are on steep hills. The course was in very good condition.

The greens especially were in good condition but very difficult because of the slope.

Many nice vistas looking out over the bay. Some very tricky holes. It's not long though so the average golfer can score and have fun.

Always overbooked and slow, but a good place to play a casual round with friends and it's always a blast to be "putting for eagle" or double eagle on the Par-6 18th.

This is a very unique golf course! A lot of elevation tee boxes. During the winter it is soggy and cart path only usually. During the summer it is always in decent shape. Most of all the par 6 18th hole is so fun! You gotta do it at least once, it is worth it!

Surprisingly nice weather--55 degrees for this time of year. Very little wind. Usually after rains I lose balls plugging in the fairway but kept the same ball all day.

The greens are in excellent condition which is surprising with all the rain we've had the last few weeks. Enjoyed the wild life--more deer than ever on a third of the holes. The views of the bay were spectacular on several holes on the back side.

While our twosome had to wait on several holes, we still finished in 4 hours.

The highlight is the par 6 18th hole--what a great challenge!

The fairways / course was way too muddy. Almost fell several times. Ball got plugged over a dozen times. Greens were okay. I had not golf here because of drainage issues and it is the same from last year. Cart path only which was understandable as your cart would get stuck & tear the course, as someone did who did not listen.

I played this course several years ago and was disappointed in the condition of the course. Sections of the Fairways and greens were in good condition but much of the terrain was hardpan. Cart paths ( and i do suggest you take a cart given the steep hills of the course) are crumbling in many areas. The greens fee was reasonable for a weekend in the Bay Area but relative to the course condition, it was no bargain.

Very long, wife course. Always hitting up the hill or down the hill. 18th hole is par 6!!! Very cool hole.

Played on a Sunday for a good price, greens were in great condition and I was hitting my irons like a champ.

The problem was they only had 1 employee working on a Sunday. No starter or marshal, just a teenage (not his fault) guy trying the best he can. Needless to say their was no orginization, people were going out in two seconds when we were clearly backed up. Tee times were pushed back by an avg of 20 min or so, round would have taken 5.5-6 hrs if the sun didn’t set.

Lake Chabot is a very unusual course.

It has more hills than any course I have ever played.

The layout is challenging although the course is not long. Hitting up hills on most of the holes makes it a bit difficult.

The 18th hole is a par 6 which I love.

My problem is not so much with the course. All courses need to undergo repairs and Lake Chabot had the back nine closed and the greens were punched and sanded. My issue is that GolNow should have alerted me that there was maintenance going on.. I would have booked elsewhere.

The course is fun to play, tons of elevated tee boxes; however, the fairways are in average at best shape. Some spectacular views on the back nine. Loved hole eight! Price on a Saturday was $56. Thought that was a little steep considering the conditions. Well worth $40. Would play again if I can get an under $40 price.
