Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch

Course is beautiful, well maintained. Staff is pleasant. Layout is challenging but very fair. Good mix of longer par 4s with generous landing areas and short but challenging par 4s where you have to be careful. The greens on the shorter par 4s are particularly challenging, lots of undulations. I loved playing here.

Course in excellant condition. Very good practice areas. Great GPS. Tricky greens.

Range is very unique, nice carts, very good staff, water stations, quality track. Layout has some forced carries and blind landing areas. Greens have solid pace and firm. Houses on course detract from how great the course is - but that is everywhere in Florida.

Playing at Azario is always enjoyable!!! Perfect all around.

Love this course and used to play it all the time. Took 2 years off golf for medical reasons and just started playing again this year. What a change! Course is still great but there are tons of people playing there now. Development is getting built out so you have lots of members + outside play. If you play early AM it's fine but the greens are terribly beat up by the end of the day and the course is pretty slow because so many people are playing. Afternoon price is pretty expensive. You start getting into a value proposition, which for me means I'll be playing there very seldomly now. Still a great course but another local added to the list of ones that are getting too expensive to play regularly.

One of my favorite courses anywhere in the area. Course is always is fantastic condition and staff is very friendly, polite and professional. Course is both challenging and fair for all levels of play. I would highly recommend playing Azario at any opportunity.

This is apparently a relatively new golf course. the fairways were green but the surface is hard as were the surfaces of the greens. The hard surfaces of the fairways gave a nice bounce and roll. but a less nice feel when hitting the ball. The hard surface on the greens increased the speed of the ball and if your ball landed on the green it bounced and rolled off quickly. When the development was build, it seems like the plan was to cut down all the big shade trees because other than some palm trees, there was little or no shade.

After playing 18 holes of golf, we had to get in our car and drive to the next parking lot to have a drink. That was moderately inconvenient. If I am going to pay $125 or more for golf, I prefer an older more mature course. That is why I don't think it is worth the price and would not recommend it to others.
