Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch

First timer from Texas and greatly enjoyed my round with longest par 5’s I’ve played. Unique practice range that was unexpected and honestly unfulfilling. However the chipping and putting areas were perfect.

The course is in excellent shape with wide fairways and undulating greens! The layout provided many risk-reward opportunities and a sufficient number of tee boxes offering the ideal length for everyone’s ability! The range and putting green were in excellent shape as well! All in all a first rate golfing experience!

I wish we had access to the club house for a sit down meal and drinks.

Loved this course but the sawgrass shrubs on nearly every while was a huge penalty. Hit it straight or the shrubs are going to eat a lot of balls.

Had a tee time this afternoon around 12:30. Staff was extremely friendly and amenities were great. They were nice enough to let us go out just as a twosome.

We started 10 minutes ahead of pace and ended up 30 min behind pace of play because the group in front took so long.

Truth be told we saw the ranger twice on the front so was a little disappointed they didn’t come out and say anything to the group. For what you are paying for, I’d expect them to keep up with pace of play. Greens weren’t in the best condition and were hard to read, but it’s almost summer so it’s understandable.

Generous fairways let you rip tee shots with confidence but higher risk/reward shots look very tempting and are deceiving more difficult than they appear. Greens will make you think hard, no matter where you land the ball.

Greens are challenging with some severe undulations.

Course needs some maturing, even after the three years I've played here. Greens are extremely firm and the grass is not consistent on the greens; The however, they all rolled the same.

Fairways tee boxes and bunkers were good.
