Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch

We finished over 30 minutes behind pace. At this price point I expect at least one maybe two Marshalls on the course to control pace of play. It turned an otherwise nice day for golf at a premium course into a less than satisfying experience.

Nice layout, greens were challenging.like cement...fairways were tight. Difficult to hit a 3W or 5W.

The course needs to soften up a bit to be more enjoyable. The fact that I made a one on the 12th hole. 124 yd.par 3 made it a little easier to want to come back and play it again.

But not for a $129.

Still rating the course 5/5 despite pace of play being poor. Was forced to skip 3 holes in order to finish playing before sundown. A 4 some was holding up the entire course behind them. Fairways, tee boxes, and greens were all immaculate. Only complaint or suggestion would be a starter to emphasize pace of play. The foursome had nobody in front of them

This course is so well maintained, clean and ran perfectly. I highly recommend coming to play here if possible.

Course is in great shape and friendly staff comfortable atmosphere. Greens will test your short game.

The course is in great shape from all aspects but who ever did the pin placements should be ashamed of themselves. The greens are very fast which I love but you can’t cut holes on bumps so it was impossible to putt the ball close on probably 6 of the holes. I played with 2 members and they were upset over the pin placements. Make it playable and you will have more people returning to play

Fantastic facilities and great pace of play!

Conditions were excellent overall. On the day we played several of the fairway bunkers on hole #2 were being worked on and thus the normal tee boxes on that hole were closed and a temporary tee was set up in the fairway, turning a very nice and challenging par 5 hole into a relatively short par 4 hole. Everything else was first tier, with greens and fairways being impeccably groomed. This course does everything (even the little things) right. When we arrived Robin met us at the bag drop with a friendly smile and loaded us up. The inside and outside staffs were friendly and accommodating. The warm up/practice areas are among the best in the area. We teed off right on time. The restrooms were clean and fresh, the trash cans (each teebox even had its own trash can) were not filled or overflowing, and the ball washers had water in them plus a clean towel attached. All the sand traps (except on #2) were immaculately groomed, and the snack bar (conveniently located between the 9th green and tenth tee) was staffed and well stocked. The beverage cart attendant came by at least four times during our round, which was a blessing as the heat index was above 100. There was a marshal patrolling the course to make sure there were no backups. (We finished in just under four hours.) As this review implies, this course is as good as it gets for a daily fee track. We hope to be able to return soon.

Course overall is in great shape. Greens were recently punched so that was not ideal. We were not told when we checked in, but we had a great round anyway.
