Dubsdread Golf Course
About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

A favorite
The food and drinks after the round on a well maintained historic course adds to a wonderful day.
Pace of play is gross
Course is fine. Not well manicured, but the greens are really nice and you’ll have grass in the fairway. The pace of play is terrible though. Over 5 hours with multiple groups waiting on tees

I really enjoyed playing Dubsdread and everything that I heard about the course was spot by on. Our pace of play was prefect but I did hear that the pace of play at Dubsdread is not always good. I just moved to Florida and like in Winter Park and I am glad that I was finally able to play there. I am a 2 handicap so it technically short yardage wise but with the layout it forces you to be more strategic off the tee so all good.
Great Course, Great Condition
‘One of best courses in Orlando’ I was told by a bunch of Floridians so was impressed that it delivered.
Tight in places so a course to think your way around which made it great. Greens and fairways in excellent condition.
Iconic Orlando Course
It has everything you need for a great day. Actually played my first ever 18 yesterday and had a great time with a friend. Course was pretty wet/muddy but it's September in Florida so it's to be expected. Greens were being aerated so we got a great deal and had a blast. Nice size Driving Range with a little short game and putting area. The whole course is a nice ride and a fun little tour of the neighborhood in College Park. Quick shout out to the staff at the Pro Shop, they've been amazing in catering to me as I start my golf journey. Hit the Tap Room if you've never gone the food is a main stay for locals so you'd be doing a disservice not checking it out.
Great experience
1st time playing & nice course conditions. Most fairways were in nice shape and greens were rolling nicely. I was surprised how nice the course conditions were given its close to downtown and a municipal. I will definitely be back again!
Nice course but...
Although I liked the course, I did not love it. But you can tell that the employees are very proud of the course. The course was in good condition but I would not call it pristine. The greens were a bit inconsistent. Some tee boxes were a bit rough. Tight course with lots of water that I do like. Just can't say I loved this course but definitely worth playing. Take someone who sprays the ball and they will be several balls less by the end.
Not bad but could have been better!
We booked a really late tee time! 6:40pm to be exact drive about 30-40 minutes to get there in hopes to find an amazing course that was pretty silent at that time. We arrived to find Golf practice had just started back up to a of people and walkers. I had my stuff ready to go as a single and a group of 4 rightfully so had an earlier tee time but instead of letting me go ahead I had to wait on them every hole for about 5-10 minutes before they even drove from the tee’s. Not necessarily their fault as they had a threesome walkers in front of them. The course is tight and challenging and in good shape, the gnats we way over bearing and to top it off the community walks this course so at one I point I was ready to hit my approach and in the middle of my swing an older couple popped out of the woods looking for lost golf balls and then on next hole a man and wife and their baby were walking along cart path while I was getting ready to drive? Anyways it could be pretty awesome but just these things hindering! Do better you have a nice course.
