About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Awesome as Usual!
I love this course. It’s an old school course with tight fairways and challenging layouts, but the course is always in great condition from tee box to greens. The pace of play was great…we finished as a group of 4 in 3 and a half hours. The staff is super friendly at the pro shop and it feels like you’re checking in at Disney. And if the golfing experience isn’t enough, the Tap Room restaurant at the course has really good food. I will always come back for more!
Great value and walking is allowed!
For $40ish dollars, I was able to walk 18, get range balls and have the pleasure of conversing with one of the great characters of any golf shop, Herman. I enjoy Dubsdread every time I have the pleasure of playing there. Conditions are quite good for a muni and pace of play was about 3:15.
Good course
Nice cours with a lot of variety, fairways and greens. The biggest frustration was the pace of play, sloooow. There were Marshall’s, but they weren’t doing anything about it, which is the number one reason they are there.
Maintenance Time
With lower rates due to course maintenance, the course was busy. There were 4 groups waiting in front of us on the first tee but once we got started there were only a few times we had to wait for groups ahead of us. Greens were slow due to maintenance but most of the time you could still get a true roll without a lot of bouncing
The Tap Room
I know the Tap Room restaurant is not part of the golf Coarse ...and they are quick to tell you so...It still is part of the package like it or not. And the hostess was nothing short of rude! To the point that after her last rude gesture I became rude right back. I have been going to Dubsdread since 1978. So to say it was I was disappointed is an understatement. Tap Room a big disappointment!
Challenging but frustrating with slow play
My husband and I are rhythm golfers. When something disrupts that, it throws off our game. The course allowed a five some to play skins, which caused a backup of three groupings on the back nine. When brought to the rangers attention, she said they play every Friday. So don’t play on Fridays.
Not sure we will return
Par for Orlando
The greens were in surprisingly good shape for having recently been aerated. The ball rolled true with good speed and very little sand. Pace of play was perfect even though the course appeared very busy. I asked if they had a rate for the Fairways for Warriors program and was disappointed they didn’t.
Dubs
Course in great shape as always. The new carts are very nice and well over due.
