Dubsdread Golf Course
About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Greens were good. Wind was. Factor on every shot, including a few puts. Fairways dry and a few thin places. I enjoy this course, need to hit a straight ball off the tee on most holes. Course is an old classic.
This is a course we like to play on our annual trip. Not long but plenty of challenge. Staff is always welcoming and course plays at a good pace. The Tap Room for dining and drinks is something you should not miss. Great food and service.
Expected Better
Based upon prior reviews I expected more from the course. The staff is excellent. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The course played very slow. We waited to hit on more than half our holes, sometimes over 5 minutes. Blind shots make it somewhat difficult for first timers. Maybe consider a handout on how to play each hole. Fairways were a little skimpy in spots and the greens were fairly quick but bumpy. Given the price it was ok.
Great local course - tight and just a little challenging in parts.
A course to enjoy time and again as you get used to the raised greens and great par threes.
Great public course
Dubsdread has a wonderful layout with a good mixture of easy and difficult holes. The pace was right on for hours. The starter was very friendly. Having gps in the cart was very handy. We would definitely play this course again!
Staff friendly explained course layout and conditions. Started on first hole and half way down fairway started to rain by the end of the first hole it was an absolute downpour and course became flooded and unplayable so we drove back in along with everyone else and went back to our condo. BUMMER BAD LUCK but it looked like a nice course.
Great Staff
The course staff were very informative and friendly. Made the round that much better.
Fun Course
Right in the middle of town. Easy to get to off of Interstate 4. Everyone one was friendly and helpful. The carts have GPS. Good short course to play.
Best burgers in town.
Me and my wife have a good time, burgers first and golf after, too bad my other buddy from North didn’t come.

Lived in Orlando for 21 years. Always wanted to play Dubsdread. Loved the course.
Better "Dubs Dread" than "Dubs Dread!"
I enjoy playing Dubs Dread Orlando! I find it challenging, but not impossible, unlike "Dubs dread Chicago!"
Old School golf at it's best
Understandable this is called historic Dubsdread, it is just a great course. Don't let the short yardage fool you, leave your driver in the bag on most holes, or you will lose a dusin balls.
Great place, excellent condition and fast greens.
