Dubsdread Golf Course
About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Bang for your buck
The course is very well maintained.. fairways are razor thin on the front 9 but overall very nice course to play.
Dubs
The course is in great shape besides a couple of greens that have decent size bare/sand spots. Course layout is fun and challenge with tight greens and plenty of water. Overall staff is helpful and nice.
Come on. $4.99 for a can of Diet Dr Pepper!?
I love Dubsdread. It is in great condition, the staff are great, it’s a challenging fun course to play, and it’s only five minutes from my house. In my opinion, Dubsdread is what most municipal courses should aspire to be. The addition of the trackman range and the new snack shack at the turn are wonderful addition.
There’s only one problem. Since the new additions have been added and they now charge $4.99 for a can of soda. Yes you read that correctly. A 12 ounce can of soda, that has a wholesale cost somewhere around $.50, is being marked up 1000%. Frankly, the food and beverage manager at Dubsdread is gouging on something that families and kids are most likely to order. It goes counter to the family-friendly nature of Dubsdread. What makes this worse is that beers are six dollars for domestic or seven dollars for craft. I think it is patently ridiculous to charge so much money for soft drinks and then keep beer prices lower. Soda should be three dollars and add a dollar extra two beers if you’re trying to maintain profit.
I know many golfers are probably thinking, “yay, cheap beer!”
I’m all for cheap beer. But when you’re 12 ounce can of soda, not a 20 ounce bottle, a 12 ounce can of soda, is five dollars, which is even more expensive than Disney World, I think you have to question what a course owned by the city of Orlando is doing to the taxpayers of Orlando
Nice layout, great price.
Great track and in excellent condition given the price point. I played with my daughter, who is 13, and it was a good test for her but still very playable.
I was impressed in the pro shop when they saw my daughter, asked if she was a junior and reduced the price. Not sure what the discount was but I was expecting to pay $140 and paid like $85.
Good for winter golf at a reasonable price.
The greens were excellent
The pace of play was terrible. The last three holes I basically lost interest in playing. Unfortunate, I might try again early early morning, and hopefully pace of play will be better.
Course in great shape
The greens are in great shape. One green had a bad spot. They are fast too. The fairway are in good shape, tight fairways but good shape. If you play a draw you will get a lot of run. The driving range is very nice.
Would play again.
Excellent municipal course.
Played a few of the local resort type courses that were 3 to 4 times more expensive. Dudsbread compares favorably to them and actually has much better greens.
Recommend it highly.
Old classic layout
This is a Tom Bendelow classic design. It will challenge a golfer of any level. The conditions are a bit off due to it being winter. The pace of play was slow at five hours for 18 and it kept backing up on several holes. Overall for the price it was worth playing.
A Gem!!!
Beautiful layout, great shape, super friendly staff, great value, Highly recommend.
GREAT practice facility.
Every practice tee has electronic equipment which measures distance, ball speed, etc. for every shot you make. What a terrific bonus. My wife and I were very impressed and enjoyed this special bonus!
Easy and greet golf course
very easy for a nice golf with friends good conditions and beautiful layout.
Great course - just a bit slow
I had the pleasure of playing Dubs Dread for a second time. The course improved a good deal since my first round (last winter), especially the driving range. The only drawback was the pace of play - over 4.5 hours.
Staff was outstanding very knowledgeable and very friendly course was in good condition greens excellent but once again the staff was great yes I would recommend this all day long
