Dubsdread Golf Course
       About
Dubsdread Golf Course is a popular choice for beginning and intermediate golfers. Designed in 1923, it is the oldest public course in the Orlando area. The course is tight with a short, traditional layout that features "postage stamp" style greens that are heavily bunkered. There are also elevated greens that are slightly sloped. Dubsdread Golf Course's fairways are narrow and there are also water hazards that come into play on some holes. One particularly difficult water hazard comes into play on the 12th hole, which is a par 3 that requires a tee shot to a green that is well protected by bunkers.

Played here many times. Great course good condition . The tap room is always very busy . It seems like if your not eating you don’t get served . Cart girl was know where to be seen until the 17 th hole
Uhg
I played this course once before and felt the same way so now im talking about it.
This course is just too tight to be enjoyable, the first 4 holes are ridiculous, very tight, zero forgiveness, every part of the course there were pedestrians crossing in one place or the other, too much random noise, some seriously questionable tee bix placement (we were hit numerous times by people in different holes).
The fairways are way too hard, good luck getting a normal divot. Ended up in 1 bunker, these were actually nice as sand was very soft and playable. Greens were very fast and on the verge of unreadable, the ball just doesnt go where you think it will, also good luck shooting darts, most of the time they just bounced off the green. Just did not enjoy this track considering the multiple other courses in orlando at the same price point. Staff was great start to finish.
The course was in great shape.
Greens rolled nicely. Pace of play was good. Very challenging with water coming into play on quite a few holes. Friendly staff,
Range needs some TLC. Putting green well maintained. Overall a great experience. Had dinner at the restaurant, fish and chips were very good!
Great City Course
Rewards for good shots, punished for really poor shots. Really enjoyed the round. The staff was phenomenal! Course was in good condition. A few spots on greens, but it’s early still.
Nice course, worth a play
Staff is very friendly, the course is in good shape, and a nice layout. It is a pretty tight course, so you don't want to play it if you're not hitting the ball straight.
great day
the course is in great shape. the layout is challenging but fare. the pace of play is very good.. overall, the management does an excellent in running and maintaining the course. i play here once a week and highly recommend it
Tight Course but Good
The course is tight so it's important to hit your ball straight. It was busy when we went so we were waiting for a group in front of us and therefore had a group waiting on us the whole time. Other than that, the course was well maintained, the staff was excellent and very friendly, and we had a good time. Would recommend.
Dubs
Second time playing this course after living in the Orlando area for years. This course is technical with a lot of water. Greens were in excellent shape and provided a great challenge. Pace of play was great, we got out before a ladies tournament and played in some serious wind. Restaurant on course was fantastic.
Very lovely golf course in the middle of downtown Orlando
The golf course is a bit shorter and tighter, you can still play well with a driver shot of 250 yards or less from the back tees, but if you have more than that, you might want to use a three wood or five wood. The weather was a bit rainy, but the course still played great. The conditions were nice too. Overall, it’s a really cool little golf course in the middle of downtown Orlando.
Good greens and old fashioned course
Played here numerous times over the years. Old fashioned type course without loads of lakes on every hole like the modern Florida courses. Greens always good and some nice holes. Like everywhere else in the area it's getting a bit expensive and if driving from the Kissimmee area the traffic can be a nightmare so will jot be playing here in the future unless I can get a deal on the price which is a shame as it's one of my favourite courses to play when visiting.
Fun course
I played on a rainy day and the course was in great shape. Fairways and greens were in great shape and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I was very impressed at how well the course handled the rain, great drainage on the entire course. Will definitely be back to play it again.
A testing course for all levels of golfers.
Excellent meet and greet by Herman and the course Marshall. Both taking time out to tell us about the course, its history and course hazards. Tight fairways, strategic bunkers and an abundance of water in the front 9 to navigate round.
Small testing and receptive greens, however a few of the bunkers were lacking in sand and in hazardous locations near the roadside.
The only real downside was the x4 two-ball groups in front holding up play for others behind.
Excellent buggies with satnav, scores etc.
nice Tap Room adjacent to the 18th.
Went back and played the course again.
Excellent value for money and the best course of the 7 we played during our vacation.
See you next year!
