Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

fantastic foursome
met new friends of my acquaintences/clients and had a great time playing with 3 exceptional players.
Great course
From tee to green was great. Awesome place to bomb it. The views were nice and the fairway is plush. Can’t complain! Will play here again when I’m in town. Only took me 85 strokes to finish.
Spectacular course
Conditions of course are excellent. Thought I was at a private course, no blade of grass out of place.
Craige at the front desk is a great guy. Starter was friendly and provided good course info.
Nice course but very unpleasant experience
Played a 2:23 tee time on 8/13. Nice course as always but had a very unpleasant experience. Very rude group behind us. We maintained the 4hr and 15min pace but the group behind us came a few feet from hitting us on drives and approach shots on 4-5 separate occasions throughout the 18 holes. Most notable a drive on the 18th that nearly hit one of our group members on the fly. I waited at the cart drop off to see if they'd apologize but the group behind us ended up playing Hole 1 again (maybe they are members?) and NEVER apologized at the end of the round. Staff was friendly but this was VERY UNPLEASANT. Never playing here unless for a fundraising tounament if players hit onto other players keeping pace (esp if they may be members).
Nice course
Course is in very good shape and is one of the only around that actually has some water on it and not brown and patchy. Nice course good location good price
Slow....slow....slow....on the 5th hole after 1 hour 45 min.....had to wait on every hole and every shot.....be prepared to wait until the spread things out a bit
A real beauty
Rancho Solano is a hidden gem in Fairfield. The course is in exquisite shape from tee to green. The layout is NEVER boring and it is an absolute joy to play. Okayed Monday at 2:30 and had the course to ourselves after a tournament in the morning. Played in 3:30 - perfect!!
