Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

great threesome
perfect conditions course immaculate except for recent green aeration, just a little slow. but just spectacular.
Never had this happen???
Booked a great $30 rate on GOLF NOW for play at one of my favorite course- Rancho Solano. They had just plugged and sanded the greens - that is why the rate was so good. Have played this course 40 plus times in years past- always using GOLF NOW. Never a problem.. Today arrived at the pro shop , checked in with my $30. check-in. The guy behind the counter asked me if I was sharing a cart. I pointed out to him that a cart was included in the $30. price today. He said "There is a $10. upcharge if you ride alone" I asked him to show me on the GOLF NOW paper where it said that, he stated it is policy at the course...During COVID times I 'm not riding with a stranger- so I was stuck with the up charge.... Little underhanded for Rancho to do this - not sure if GOLF NOW is aware...

Just very consistent, easy to get around. Challenging topography...

Always enjoy playing this course. Its amazing how well maintained and green this course is considering how dry the conditions are this time of year. Management knows how to run this place well. Thank You.
better commumication
course is in great shape...all good
only issue is i wish the pro shop would have told us carts had to be returned by 630pm when we checked in for 245 tee time.
would have finished in time if marshall would have policed slow groups ahead.
Good course but need more communication from staff
Around was going great do we hit the back nine and then course management came out and kicked us off the course with an half an hour left siding he doesn't get paid overtime the cars come in too late none of that was told to us when we paid our money it's not a good way to treat your customers

Tees, traps, fairways, and greens all in excellent condition. I always enjoy playing this course.
Good course!!
Overall, the course is in a very good condition. Tee Box is clean. Fairway has divots but fairly good and the green in great shape!
For a season of hot weather, we saw the service cart on the second hole and then never the rest of the course...
Nice course well maintained but as usual some services to assist players on a hot afternoon would be better!
Fantastic Course - Fun and Challenging
This course is well maintained and beautiful. It feels like private courses I've played in the past. Tee boxes are in good shape, holes are fun and interesting in their layout, lots of big hills and uneven lies, the greens are extremely fast and sloped. There are many places where it may be better to be 30 yards in front of the green than 10 feet above and behind it. Overall ice, the course feels like it is for more advanced golfers, which makes for a good challenging round. The downside to this challenge is bad golfers playing with very little Marshall management of pace of play. According to the local we played with, expect a 5 hour round. Our round was 5 hours on the dot on a weekday. I will definitely play here again.
