About
Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

As usual, Rancho Solano comes through.
Never seem to not enjoy my time on this course. Conditions weren’t the best I’ve ever seen on the course, but better than a lot that I have played on recently.
Love this course
I’ve never had a bad round here. The layout is scenic and greens stay challenging. I’ll be back!

Excellent Value, Beautiful Views
Great value, first class course, and the greens were 'hella fast'. If you are in the area, you have got to add this one to your bucket list.
Great Shape
This course is in great shape. The greens are amazing, fairways are firm, it’s green. I would recommend this to anybody that I golf with. We will definitely play here again.
Brutal greens!
Really nice course, challenging, TOUGH greens!
The pace of play is a little slow, mostly at the shorter par-5 1st & 10th holes, where guys think they need to wait for the green to clear (most DON'T!)
Then the back 9 gets significantly more difficult, causing delays as people hit OB or take 4 putts on some holes.
On Nov. 30 we teed off at 12:20 and couldn't finish before it got dark at 5pm. So bear that in mind when booking.
Otherwise, a favorite track.
Maybe it was thanksgiving week, the pace of the game was the worst I ever had in playing golf...3 hours in first 9 holes, so I had to stop.
Great Course, just can’t get into a rhythm
Tee boxes, fairways and greens all are in very good condition. But this time of the year you just can’t start playing after 12:15 or so, because the pace of play is so slow, you will have a hard time finishing 18 holes. It took us 4-1/2 hours to finish just 17-holes by 5-pm. The other negative is your constantly waiting at the tee boxes and even in the fairways, just can’t get into rhythm.
A gem in Salano County
I was stunned by this gem of a course . Weather was perfect, layout of the course is great. Very well maintained. I drove from Fremont to play this course and got worth of every penny. Will be coming back soon

I have loved this course for many years...Fantastic city course in great condition as always..Huge challenging greens which are so much fun to play.
