About
Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

Best course in Solano County
Rancho is an excellent course with challenging large and fast greens. The course drains well so it’s perfect in the winter. By far the best course in Solano County.

Great layout, greens were in fantastic shape even with recent aeration. Always look forward to playing here.

A very nice course in Solano
This course is beautiful, it was perfectly maintained. I love playing this course.
Can be very busy
Got mixed in with a four man tournament unknowing there was a tournament going and my group was just a two som and we got in the middle of a big party, so people two groups behind were complaining that it was slow and they got into shouting contests and yelling at each other kind of threats like meet us at the parking lott so they can fight or watever bunch of adults acting like entitled kids even though we were playing as fast as possible.
I prefer a more calming atmosphere when golfing and this place is overpriced
Nice course and very accommodating
Had a great off-season round of golf at Rancho Solano. Finished the front 9 in 2 hrs. Noticed there was no one playing the front 9 at the turn and asked to replay the front 9 instead of continuing onto the back. They agreed and really enjoyed playing a quiet round trying to best my score. Good fish and chips as well and food cart drove by 3 times on a Thursday. Would come again.
A nice golf course
This course is well maintained. This is a very nice course indeed. This course is somewhat challenging, most of the greens are guarded by sand bunkers. The scenery is beautiful. Love to play this course.
