About
Rancho Solano Golf Course sits midway between San Francisco and Sacramento, a location that makes it easily accessible from all the cities in the Bay Area. The course sprawls across hilly terrain, providing the layout with elevated tees and dramatically undulating greens. It is a tough course to walk but it's possible. Sparkling lakes dot the hills, coming into play on a few holes. There are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with. The expansive greens offer some room for error but pin placement is still important. The first three holes on the back nine are some of Rancho Solano Golf Course's most challenging, especially the par-4 11th hole. Club selection is the key to this hole or you might lose your ball to the lake and even once you do seemingly reach safety, there are still bunkers backing the large green.

Awesome day of golf
Course in great shape , greens rolling fast, pace was ok . A great track to test your game
Always Tip Top
Played this course many times. It’s always groomed an ready. Nice thick healthy green grass everywhere. Greens are huge but fair.
Perfect weather for a perfect course.
It was the most rewarding experience playing this gem. Scored +4 that was the best in 8 years. Very good score considering my health condition and age. It was well worth driving 65 miles one way. Rather drive the distance for a good course than just a short drive for a mediocre course.
Totally enjoyed the day’s outing. Plan to take my guests from overseas to the Rancho Solano next month.
Thanks again for a good job to GolfNow in getting the good courses like this.
Stay away
This is easily the best public course in Solano county. Country club-like conditions. Challenging greens are huge so prepare for some three putts. Holes 10-12 provide a bit of an “Amen Corner.” Poa annua greens are typically bumpy later in the day.

First time at this course and it's very good price and great layout and great condition.
I recommend all golfers should try it out. I am coming back for sure.

Everything about Rancho Solano rates a 10. The tees, greens, bunkers, cart girl, and staff. Great value.
Lovely day at Rancho
Beautiful day, course, and playing partners! Our foursome teed off at 8 AM and finished at 12 PM. Course is in great shape. The greens are massive and contoured treacherously. Always a challenging course to play.

I thoroughly enjoyed my golf experience at Rancho Solano. The course was in Country Club condition and that is saying a lot because it is a public course.
