Salinas Fairways Golf Course

Early morning fog slowed play, but cleared up early. No delays due to slow golfers ... played at our pace.
Great greens!

The greens were amazing! Haven't played this course in a while and the greens played fast. Once you get the feel of them it seems like a top monterey course.

Price to play was excellent. The course condition was superb. I strongly recommend to play this course.

Although we rode, this course is easy to walk. The course is well maintained with both fairways and greens in excellent condition. The course is not difficult but is fun to play with some water hazards that come into play. With five sets of tees the course can accommodate golfers of all skill levels.

They have it in good condition considering the drought.

course is in great shape with the greens being beautiful, smooth and extremely fast. mike was great in the clubhouse and everything was handled professionally

I thought the fairways were great. The grass was cut nicely which gave you a good lay for yiur next shot. I likrd every thing about the course.

Greens are good, Fairways are nice and very playable. The staff is very friendly. I would recommend the course to anyone.

Course was wet . Some fairways don't drain very well. 19th hole is small with very poor seating.

Course is wide open; great for beginners. Has practice facilities, because the course gets a lot of use and can be packed, the course is in pretty good shape. Highly recommend booking a tee time.

Fantastic super hot deal! Best buy online, Great price, course was in really good shape considering our water situation, greens were well kept and the ball rolled true. Best part, other than the price and condition of the course, was that the wind was from the east so 14 played short... what a joy!

I have played course before , mornings are best, wind in afternoon can add 1 to 2 clubs on shots to green.

I play here a lot and usually enjoy it. This time, the course was overcrowded, had to wait about 30 minutes past my tee time to get a cart as there were none available. Pace of play was awful. We quit after 8 holes, went back over to #2 and played through 9. The first 8 holes to 2 hours 30 minutes. The next 8 holes took 1 hour 30 minutes. Didn't even try to play the back 9. Also, for some reason they were mowing the course mid-day on a Thurs afternoon. Go figure. Course in good shape as usual and I think the day was certainly not in the norm.

I don't know how they do it, but Salinas Fairways manages to provide an excellent experience at an extreme value. I am particularly impressed with the course conditions (especially the greens - firm, great shape, rolling true.) It's a short course, wide open, not particularly challenging. But there are enough interesting holes - with a couple tricky hazards/forced carries and a couple long par 3's - that it's not a complete pushover for better players. You still need to golf your ball. But it's 100% playable for beginners. And walkable. Front nine is tree-lined with a classic parkland feel; back nine opens up and gets exposed to the wind for added difficulty, especially in the afternoon. 18 is a fun finishing hole. Easily reachable par 5 but you're staring at a nasty water hazard directly in front of the green - even the lay-up shot can bring the water into play. The pace of play is great and the greens fees are a steal. Worth a visit for sure.

Found an awesome deal on this course through GolfNow. The price and location made me very skeptical but I figured for the money, I might as well give it a shot. I loved it. The staff was really nice and helpful. Greens are really nice. Food is really good. Variety of hole layouts and the majority are pretty open so you won't lose balls, unless it goes in the ponds. Everything that I thought I would complain about was not there. In fact, I had nothing to complain about. I have played this course four times now in just one month. I'll be playing here a lot more times.

This is a good 18 hole course. Will challenge you like the game is intended. Will be long for a beginner. Great staff.
