Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Very challenging course
Not for the faint of heart. Highly technical. Narrow sections. Driving at the top of the Santa Ana River to the bottom. Only to send it back up to the green is pretty insane. Better have your shot shaping techniques down. You are going to need it! Unfortunately I played on a day where course management was not so great for pace of play. The greens are very unpredictable. Overall the course is kept well. Staff is very nice.
Decent value
Condition is fair. Greens are in better shape. Overall experience is good.
Very unique and difficult layouts.
Cart paths are somewhat dangerous to speed up.
Enjoyed very much.
Fun
The course is a lot shorter than advertised. The course should be at least a Par 68. Scorecards did not match up with the new GPS yardage. Other than that, the greens were great. Course I suppose was still recovering from water but very fun to play. If there was more water in the creeks, this would be a very hard course because you really have to be accurate off the tee box. Already booked another teetime tomorrow so I recommend it. Played about 4.5 hours but the gents I played with said it was unusually slow so I didn’t complain too much.
Got hit by ball from the rear team
I understand that pace can be slower on weekends but there were 6 teams on 2 holes. Waiting 10 minutes almost every hole. Took 5 hours and half to finish.
And I got hit by a golf ball hit from the rear team. All they say was they didnt see us. There were 6 teams stuck in 2 holes. How hard is it to see other teams in the front?
It is cheap but I would rather pay more on other courses than risking my life.
Terrible layout
The course layout was confusing and seemed sloppy at times. The bridges to cross The river seems very makeshift and dangerous. The golf carts were governed in a way that was restricted while navigating the coursed because it regulated where we can and cannot go, and if we veered of the cart path too much the cart would turn off and we would have to push it to the accessible areas.

Course in great condition
The coursed played great the conditions were great and the course played harder with water coming in play. On many holes Great value for your money. Definitely coming back.
