River View Golf Course
About
Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Horrible Layout
I read the course description and looked at the photos and thought it would be a great spot to golf. It has to be the oddest layout of a course I have seen. It was definitely re-purposed from something else. The elevated holes are ridiculous. It felt like a 12 year old created this course on a video game simulator. In addition, there were large sticks and debris all over the course. It was challenging in all the wrong ways.
Rainy day
Heads up it becomes a 9 hole course with 2 par 4s and 7 par 3s when it rains. Still fun
Disappointing
With no warnings at all, or any refund option I played the modified 9, which were in marked and seemingly thrown together. This is fine, with a little heads up. Got a new driver, and had a not a single hole to try it out on.
This was a bummer.
Improperly represented, waste of money
I booked a hot deal tee time for what showed in golf now as a full 18 holes with standard conditions. I showed up and they informed me that only 9 holes were open, they were a highly modified 9, and that it would be a pain to get me in the lineup again to play through 9 again to make my 18 holes. The conditions were soaking wet, 9 holes were closed, the 9 that were open were modified, and I feel like I was ripped off by a course that was not represented properly on golfnow.
A manufactured executive course just to stay open
Booked a tee time, expected to play a full 18. Got there and was told that they shut down half the course because of recent rains and that some dam/reservoir was being drained. We were charged 28 for only 9 holes. Not worth the 28 dollars.
Under major damage
Only nine holes open. Out of nine, only half of them had a normal and the others were short cut due to the rain damage. For a. Example, it supposed to be 320 yards but actual distance was only 135 yards
Golf Now Screwed Us
Had to pay service fees for 18 hole, but when we arrived only 9 hole was available
Hard to find green
This course is not easier than I expect. Have to play on side of river shore and cross the river. First player are not easy to find the green location.
Fun and challenging design
The course had a great design for newer golfers. I like hitting the ball over the riverbank to get to the pin on several holes. Nice 160+ par 3s
Good course for the price
The course is pretty nice for the price you pay. No complaints from me.
Unique course
Going over the riverbed on a few of the holes was challenging.
Green were good.
Also the best practice Green setup to make warming up to different reads was fun.
Only if you have a child playing
Literally the worst course I’ve ever played in terms of the conditions. Felt like I was playing on Mars! Only thing positive was the Staff was extremely friendly.
