Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Really fun.
I had a great time at Riverview. Greens in good shape, the fairways are a bit dry and tight. Good green fees for the course.
Great course for the price. The fairways and tee boxes aren’t anything amazing, but very good for the price they charge. Greens are in incredible shape as well - honestly better than most courses in the area that charge much more to play. Definitely challenging golf here as many fairways are narrow, but it was a very enjoyable round for someone who shoots in the mid 80s/ low 90s. Pace of play was good- waited on a few holes but never too long. Highly recommend for the average weekend golfer.
Good Value
Course is a bit repetitive...hit into the ditch, hit out of the ditch. Skill level disrupts the continuity of play but the 18 hole time wasn't bad. Greens were excellent but overall just okay conditions. However, the value is very good.
Not what it used to be!
I have played this course over "many" years and the current condition is not my cup of tea any more. To much sand, dry grass, hazards and target golf with those bumpy greens to make it a go any more for me.
Crazy Course
The front nine is much better laid out than the back nine where you tee off on narrow fairways and end up on elevated dog leg greens. Amazing the course exists behind a quiet neighborhood along the Santa Anna River, which isn’t a river and looks like part of the California Aqueduct.
Riverview
Probably the best value within 30 miles of Santa Ana location. The maintenance crew put a lot of work in..aeration is complete on the greens which always seem to be in great shape. Fairways also got punched so al long as the river doesn't rise this course will be a joy in spring and summer.
