Situated within the Santa Ana Riverbed, River View Golf Course is conveniently located just minutes from Disneyland, Anaheim, and Long Beach. The course's design intertwines with the river, providing challenging hazards on several holes. The narrow layout also features elevated greens that rarely offer a flat lie and are fiercely guarded by sand. Accuracy is a necessity throughout this golf course. Although it offers a fair amount of challenges, there is also ample room off the tees that makes the course more accessible for beginners. River View G.C. is also popular for its practice facilities, which include a driving range with targets and the county's largest putting course. While the other facilities may be modest, River View offers an affordable game that is one of Orange County's best values.

Less Popular, but still a Blast
It's not Pebble Beach, but the course is challenging enough for beginners and mid-hcaprs. Greens are generally flatish with few surprises. Still fun to play with a couple great long holes (on the front 9) and hole #4 which is a classic challenge. Conditions on the greens and fairways are good to very good and the staff is no nonsense, and straight to business.
Great Greens and oops my ball rolled into the water
Be accurate, absolutely know the distance that you hit that club! The greens were wonderful, the weather was perfect and the layout is as tough as I play! Always a round of labor and love! I’ll be back, especially as the weather gets a bit cooler. The old saying goes,”try it you’ll like it” sure applies here.

Greens were well maintained. Fairways were in pretty good shape. Tee boxes were not in great shape. GPS on my cart got stuck on the 11th hole. Course layout is a bit quirky along and through the Santa Ana riverbed. Overall, it is a decent value. I would play it again, but not a course I would go out of my way to play.
Fun course

Fun course
Lots of elevation differences between these holes and it was a lot of fun. Greens and fairways were in good shape. Decently priced food and tee times, friendly staff.
Beautiful greens
First time playing this course and it was beautiful greens and fairways. Love that you have different types of ⛳ especially going up the hill green. Conditions were great.
Hidden gem in Orange County
This course is laid out along the dry riverbed that gets quite wet during the winter months. Many challenging holes that require crossing canyons and riverbeds. Fun course to play.
Mostly uphill greens and hitting over features
Course conditions are a little biased because they were prepping for a tournament. I was one of the last groups to tee off before the tournament started so there were workers wetting the greens and cutting grass before it started, but they did not hinder the play at all.
The course in general is pretty challenging if you aren't able to consistently hit the ball clean. Lots of features to play over/around making it challenging for beginners. Great experience overall
