Could be better
Main clubhouse is first rate 5*. Other facilities good. Course maintenance needs to upgrade for better rating. Fairways, greens, tees all 5*. But overall appearance is ragged, unkempt and not worthy of a top rating.
Clermont National Golf Course Review: A Birthday Weekend Highlight!
Shingle Creek Golf Club Review
Shingle Creek Golf Club is in immaculate condition. The greens, though recently aerated, were surprisingly great, playing fast and true – a welcome change from the course we played the day before. The fairways were also in excellent shape, making for enjoyable play.
The course itself features lots of water, adding both beauty and challenge. We particularly enjoyed the presence of wildlife, which was a really nice bonus to the experience.
Even on a busy day, the pace of play was good, with only minor delays of about 10 minutes at times. Overall, our experience was fantastic from start to finish. Every team member, from check-in and the kiosk attendant to the starter, cart service, and the club attendants at the end, was exceptional. We had a great time and highly recommend it!
Clermont National
All I can say is what a stunning golf course in great condition I wished I had played there many years ago
Fun Layout
The layout is really spectacular and fun with a chance to go for some greens and some.good risk/reward decisions. Only disappointment was a spectacular driving range , but no grass option , mats only.
Remaining Consistently Good!
Course is in great shape. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are all in great shape. The only problem were the bunkers. The bunkers were like mud, I guess from all the rain we’ve gotten lately. But that’s cool with me, I’ll just consider them non-playable and drop outside the bunker. (LOL) But the course is in great shape and I’ve ALWAYS loved the layout with the unusual extreme elevation changes that you don’t typically see in Florida. The new top tracer driving range attracts quite a few guests to make the social life here fun after golf too.
Very different course for Florida
Enjoyed playing Clermont National. Lots of hills from tee to green on both nines with a few blind tee and approach shots. If you are looking for something different to play in the area, go here. All the greens were in solid shape and be sure to review your GPS on a few holes in order to not find yourself in someone’s yard (hole 15).
Great layout. NEEDS GPS
Very nice layout. Challenging. In great shape. A ton of elevation changes. This course is in HUGE NEED OF GPS!! No pictures on score card, no information on tee box. Way too many blind shots not to have something. We hit what we thought were perfect shots only to find them in knee high rough. Greens were a little slow but in good shape. Will play again once GPS is available.
Do Better
Zero drinks (non alcoholic or alcoholic) available prior to 10. What management staff thinks this is acceptable. Great track but the peripherals need a lot of attention. How they stack TT's is laughable. They need Chick Fila brass to give them some tips or something. Fix the early beverage situation, food would be a bonus, but beverage at min...and the back/front launch, and the course will be great.
Pace of play is a problem
5 and half hours for a early morning weekend round. Next to 0 amenities on the course. Fun layout and in good condition, but won’t be back.
