Hills in Florida
Nice course with lots of waste bunkers and slopes, great course for an Orlando tourist that wants something besides water and flat.
Good value
The pros: The pace of play, spacing, golf cart, and golf course design were above average. The range was very good.
The cons: the staff during the drop off of the bags and the carts were rude and unhelpful. The pro shop was friendly, but small. There was no one at the first hole to give you any instructions with respect to bathrooms or anything else about the course. There is no branding whatsoever on the course for pictures. Range balls were expensive. I did not see an area to practice chipping. There was no cart for beverages or food that went by or other staff.
Worse than hoped, Better than expected.
Played this track some years back when it was Sanctuary Ridge. It was not very good then. They have made a good start at bringing the course back. In fairness, they can't be blamed for the current drought conditions, so the fairways are a little sparse in places, and playing hard and fast. For the most part the greens were pretty good, if maybe a little inconsistent from green to green. Lots of elevation changes makes it a fun layout, and many off fairway shots get funneled back into the fairway, so look there first! Maybe a little pricey, but that is just about every Florida course these days.
Intersting Layout for Central Florida
Elevations not common to Florida courses makes Clermont interesting test, driving accuracy will make for easy scoring. Course conditions effected by cold weather made for less than ideal turf growth but overall OK. Greens slow with tough pin positions also affected by 1" of rain night before, windy conditions dried course adequately.
Overall enjoyed course accompanied by low handicap local playing due to his CC closed on Monday since he had previously played Clermont and efficient/accurate GPS made day enjoyable. Since we're also fortunate to be private club members we're use to significantly better conditions, we recognize it's winter and times are at premium so cost albeit overpriced for conditions I still recommend Clermont's unique topography for at lease one round if you're in area.
Happening little spot
I live about 45 minutes from clermont and I have to say it is such a nice area with lots of nice courses with some holes that have drastic elevation change by Floridas standard. This course specifically had a layout with many interesting elevation changes and was maintained but $90+ is a little steep for the conditions but paying $55 with promotions and points made it feel like top tier outing if you can get a deal.
Clermont National Meh!
This course is a LOOOONG way from being a $90 course. The conditions absolutely do not warrant this price. The staff and amenities are top notch. Only thing I could see they could add would be valet parking. $30-$50 I’m all over it. They are making efforts, but the course isn’t seeing it. It’s the same as it was when it was Diamond Players Club and Sanctuary Ridge. Great potential. I certainly hope they reach it I would even consider moving to be a member if they could reach top notch conditions.
Big boy golf
House property, large greens, bunkers etc. Course conditions were a little brown from recent cold weather that hit Florida but you can see it would have been fine with a few more days of warm weather. Nice place, great range and atmosphere also. Would definitely come back
Rolling Hills
This course is a treat as it has changes in elevation and risk/reward holes. It’s been in good shape since it reopened a couple of years back. Worth the ride to experience it. We will be back again next year.
Clermont Experience
An interesting and challenging layout with significant undulations and fast greens. Top notch practice range with advanced facilities at reasonable costs.
Interesting Track
Good course. A lot of character. Significant elevation changes and sidehill lies. If you are ok with several blind shots, you will be fine with it.
Well laid out.
Really enjoyed playing here. Well laid out. Lots of dog legs. Well placed bunkers. Bunker sand is heavy (probably due to the elevation of the course and wind)
You’ve got to plot your way round.
Our only issue were all the range balls on the first.
You have to play towards the range and get a run off the slope. You can’t see where your ball ends up, but there must have been 40 range balls. Tip… use a coloured balls on the first hole!
Staff in the club house really friendly
Will definitely come back
Slow greens
Pace of play was good, restaurant and cart girl were awesome. Greens are inconsistent and slow.
Layout is good. Price too high
The course is a good one.
But it is not worth 90 on hot deal. Maybe 50.
The fairway and greens are not good enough for other 90 dollar courses. The layout is nice.
A great players course!
For some reason, I never had the opportunity to play there for the first time play there. It was amazing.!
If I were to go back again, I wouldn’t go there just to play golf. I would probably spend the whole day there is that kind of place!
From start to finish me and my guest had a wonderful day, the golf was great. The greens were awesome.
The only thing I could complain about is my score…😂
I would say it’s one of the better golf experiences. I’ve had this whole year!!
Challenging course blind greens
Challenging course. Most greens blind left or right hidden up or up hill or Diwn low
