Great layout
I think it has one of the best layouts in the area, roughs are tough, the only downside were the greens that were sandy, other than that it's was a lot of fun
Slow round
Normal golf round but the pace of play was abysmal. They are sending out too many groups in the morning. They had 3 groups stacked up on #1 and 4 groups stacked up on #10 at 8:45 AM. Horrible course management and it’s been like that. I won’t return until they figure that out and I can play the round in under 5.5 hours.
Over Packed course
The course has a nice layout and fun to play, but be ready to play a 5 1/2 hour round. There was no warning or any mention that the greens have been recently punched and they were doing front tee and back tee starts. As we drove past the front tees to get to number 10 where we were starting, there was at least three groups backed up on the front tee. When we got to the back tee, at our start time we were the fourth group on the tee box. While we were waiting to start around 30 minutes late, there was two group of members who had made the turn and also waiting. As a long time Golfer, I understand doing a front and back start but packing in that many people and playing a 5 1/2 hour around is ridiculous.
unplayable rough
I played here last year. The rough was literally ten inches high. Spend half of the round looking for balls. I thought there was probably a reason why it was not cut. I was looking forward to playing the course again under better conditions. I was very disappointed to find it exactly the same this time. Will probably not come back.
COURSE IS GETTING BETTER
Haven't played and about 6 months- course looks great! Greens rolling fast and true. Impressed with the greenskeeper. Great layout
Terrible amenities
Course is in decent shape, but nothing special. Many other better courses in Orlando. What made it terrible were the lack of amenities for a round of golf. 8am tee time. No food, no coffee, nothing to buy pre round. 1 unisex bathroom in the pro shop. Had to wait behind 3 people at 7am to use the same bathroom. Already off to terrible start. Cart girl comes around close to 9am. No candy bars, out of water, and decided to give us water in a cup and scooped it out of the coolers on the golf cart where all the drinks are sitting. Thanks for the effort, but that’s disgusting.
At the turn, we decided to try for food. Roughly 10:15am. Outside bar has nothing, told us to go inside. Restaurant and bar both have same menus and nothing to grab and go. Ordered a hot dog; took close to 15 min to get them. Came out on a plate even though ordered to go…took another 5 min to wrap them to go. One of my buddies ordered a black coffee which came out as a cappuccino. lol. Just can’t make this stuff up.
Pace of play was fine, and an ok layout but they need to have some traditional golf course amentiries, especially for a course charging $80 a round. First time and last time.
Great course
If you play in the afternoon make sure you have water and snacks because they have no Cart Service.
Course is in great conditions and in the afternoon you don't have to worry about keeping up the pace.
Busy place
Lot going on Tough to park, hitting balls was difficult. With no gps system, no idea where to hit the ball. Lots of dog legs,
If ball goes in rough, good luck finding it. Very different course.
Keep it in the fairway
The rough is deep and hard to find your ball even 10 feet off the fairway ! Course was in very good shape. Restaurant bar area was great after the round ! Enjoy !
Great layout, but rough too punitive
I enjoyed my round; great course design with amazing views and elevations. Greens were tough, but fair.
My only beef is that the rough was far too punitive. They were cut to 4 to 8 inches, so golf balls just disappeared in the rough. We wasted a good deal of time looking for balls that were "lost in plain sight". Some were no more than 6 feet off of the fairway. Not fun. PLEASE trim the rough to reasonable heights and we'll be back!
far too slow , let too many people on
they had stacked the course front and back and allowed five balls , pace of play was painstaking on slow , we left after 12 holes .
staff were nice and course is good - but do not play here unless you enjoy 5 hour stupidly slow games .
Fun course with lots of character
Arrived at bag drop and was met by the cart attendant. Not sure what his deal was but he seemed extremely unhappy to be at work. Asked a simple question and got an answer in a way that absolutely showed he wasn’t in a good mood. Went into the pro shop and the guy that helped me was looking at me standing there and didn’t say a word. Not sure what was up with the 2 people I encountered but definitely wasn’t a welcoming feeling. Grabbed a cart and headed to the tee box. Tee boxes were in good shape, fairways and greens as well. Beautiful layout, definitely makes you feel outside of Florida. Reminds me of my home course Adena CC here in Ocala. Rough was insane. You would have thought there was a US Open qualifier being held. 1 foot off the fairway and the ball was gone. Although i play tournaments and can handle it somewhat the weekend golfer shouldn’t be dealing with that. We want more people playing golf not running from it because they were miserable. The 2 guys I played with said they live close and will never play again which isn’t good. I drove from an hour away and will play again but not anytime soon. Course has tremendous character. Will play again and hope to have a better interaction with team members at CN. B+
Extreme Rough
Loved the course, didn't love the overgrown rough ! We lost a few balls because we couldn't find our golf balls and most were within 15 feet of the fairways !
JJ
Course is in impeccable condition loved the elevation changes. Greens were true and speed was very manageable.
I plan to play there again very soon
