Nice layout
Course has great amenities and practice area; course is coming along nicely give it another year or so and will be great
A Bit Overrated
I think this course deserves about 3 1/2 stars, not 4 stars as it appears to be rated. There is no GPS and there was no water in the water stations. The recourse was in pretty good condition. and there are some elevation changes. The driving range has shade, and the restaurant looks nice.
Hidden Gem
Course would have been 5 star but plying mid January no course is really 5 star. Awesome topography and great greens. Bar inside and driving range is perfection.
Not Great, but Not Horrible
I hadn’t been here for several months, but yesterday was not a good day on this course. Overall, it seems like they’re starting to go downhill a bit. I say that because the Greens used to be much better, but are starting to look a bit rough. The bunkers are also looking rough, as they’re not raked, the sand is clumpy and many edges around the bunkers are collapsing in on the bunkers. The tee boxes and fairways were good. We also were stuck playing behind some really slow people who made it difficult to play through and was backing up EVERYONE. We eventually called the pro shop and they apparently had multiple calls already about the slow players and sent someone, however, there should’ve been a Marshall checking to keep the pace moving on a busy day. Then the cart girl ran out of a ton of drinks (understandable) but said she was going to refill. When she came back she did refill, but forgot Tito’s, lol. Lastly when we went to eat, the waitress didn’t seem to know much about the menu or drinks menu. Then she brought our food in a to go bag and boxes by mistake. There were a few other things too, but I’ve said enough. The server we had before our round at noon was a rockstar. The place is a really cool spot, but it seems to be going in the wrong direction from where it started.
Elevation Changes
I took my (2) sons as one of them had his 21st birthday, and one of their friends joined us as the 4th.
I had golfed this course decades ago well before it was Clermont National. I did remember that the course had many elevation changes as it's in one of the hilly parts of Clermont. Course was in good shape, but the winter rates are a little steep. Would probably golf here again, but will need to wait until prices drop.
A Real Gem
This is not your typical flat Florida course. It's hilly! Loved all the elevation changes that afforded us lovely views. The course is in excellent condition. Best greens we've seen in the area. We will definitely go back. Layout is challenging, but fair. Ate in the grille afterward, and the food was good, too.
Beautiful course, but very difficult !
This course is stunning. Beautiful views and crazy elevation makes for a unique experience in Florida. However, this course is very difficult. Whatever your handicap is, add around 10 strokes to your day for this course. And prepare to lose a few more balls than normal. Fairways have intense slopes and sometimes punish you for a perfect shot if it didn’t land exactly where it needed to.
Nice staff; Goofy Layout
Nice staff. Course has lots of elevation change and a beautiful view from the clubhouse. Course itself was a goofy layout, blind shots and in poor condition. Not great value for the money. Blow it up!
Who knew there were this many hills in Florida?
Beautiful rolling hills layout.
Well manicured.
Staff very friendly
Range has Trackman
Will definitely play again
Nice Course
No issues with Golf Now reservation when I arrived at the course. I do recommend using the Check-in feature in Golf Now. It saved time at the course
Great staff from bagdrop guys, to pro shop, and starter.
I appreciated that the Ranger did monitor pace. The four ball ahead of us fell two holes behind thus back up our 3 ball and everyone behind us. We teed off just before 11AM and finished in just under four hours.
Course: the greens were fast. The majority of the greens are elevated so consider to use more club on your approach shot. Due to the hilly terrain, some hole offered blind shots. Bunkers were okay but protected most of the holes.
Parking lot is relatively small so plan on arriving a little earlier than usual to make your tee time.
Decent value if you are good with 5.5 hour round
Ridiculously over sold on the weekend. No Marshall to move things along. Won’t be back. Would rather pay twice as much and enjoy the experience. Having to watch the group in front play every hole made me want to quit after 9
