A Real Gem
This is not your typical flat Florida course. It's hilly! Loved all the elevation changes that afforded us lovely views. The course is in excellent condition. Best greens we've seen in the area. We will definitely go back. Layout is challenging, but fair. Ate in the grille afterward, and the food was good, too.
Beautiful course, but very difficult !
This course is stunning. Beautiful views and crazy elevation makes for a unique experience in Florida. However, this course is very difficult. Whatever your handicap is, add around 10 strokes to your day for this course. And prepare to lose a few more balls than normal. Fairways have intense slopes and sometimes punish you for a perfect shot if it didn’t land exactly where it needed to.
Nice staff; Goofy Layout
Nice staff. Course has lots of elevation change and a beautiful view from the clubhouse. Course itself was a goofy layout, blind shots and in poor condition. Not great value for the money. Blow it up!
Who knew there were this many hills in Florida?
Beautiful rolling hills layout.
Well manicured.
Staff very friendly
Range has Trackman
Will definitely play again
Nice Course
No issues with Golf Now reservation when I arrived at the course. I do recommend using the Check-in feature in Golf Now. It saved time at the course
Great staff from bagdrop guys, to pro shop, and starter.
I appreciated that the Ranger did monitor pace. The four ball ahead of us fell two holes behind thus back up our 3 ball and everyone behind us. We teed off just before 11AM and finished in just under four hours.
Course: the greens were fast. The majority of the greens are elevated so consider to use more club on your approach shot. Due to the hilly terrain, some hole offered blind shots. Bunkers were okay but protected most of the holes.
Parking lot is relatively small so plan on arriving a little earlier than usual to make your tee time.
Decent value if you are good with 5.5 hour round
Ridiculously over sold on the weekend. No Marshall to move things along. Won’t be back. Would rather pay twice as much and enjoy the experience. Having to watch the group in front play every hole made me want to quit after 9
No Starter!
Premier price for this course. Should act like a premier course if that's what they want to be. I don't appreciate paying $100 to watch everyone start unsupervised on the first tee This is not the first time this happened. I asked two golfers on the first tee if I could hook up with them and they said no to me. Then play became 4 players, 3 players, 2 players. A single (me} and 3 players behind me.
Wonderful layout great driving range and restaurant. So much potential! It's just a bit mismanaged. I guess $100 rounds is not enough to staff the place as it should be staffed. Very disappointing that no one is assigned to start players and keep everyone in line. 2 to 3 personnel in the club house to check you in. I don't see why one of them can't be on the first tee to get players started in an orderly fashion.
Enjoyable first time at Clermont National
Played the new CN yesterday in sub-60 degrees in Florida, that's chilly. Pace of Play was excellent. Conditions of greens and tee boxes were also fine. Fairways were just OK. Two questionable areas were the waste areas that were "under repair" were not marked and no notice if they were all play as it lies or white lined. Second, the scorecard has no drawing or description of the holes and since they do not have GPS in the carts, first timers are flying blind. We did use our range finders to estimate distances to some targets, but were left somewhat guessing. The green fees are $100 or higher on a weekday and no GPS is a bit of a surprise. One other note, the Cart Girls (1 new one in training) were waiting on 3 of the first 6 holes asking if we wanted more drinks and hot dogs. We were still finishing our 1st round. We did not see a cart girl until the 15th tee box. Note: there is no 9th hole turn or bev shack here. And drinks are NOT cheap! There are some really fun holes out there and we would play it again, when it warms up!
Gimmicky holes
Very hilly course with some funny holes. Many blind shots without any idea if the group ahead (or you are) still in range.
We used to play this course when it was Sancuary Ridge. The renovations to the course made it worth the trip. Only negative is no bathroom on the back. We will definitely play it again
Great Course, Resort Quality
One of my favorite courses in Central Florida. They have something for everyone. Course is fun but challenging.
Greens were tough to play to many holes on slopes.
Very pricey but got a good deal on golfpass
Great Day at my new favorite Course
Best Course I've played in a long time. I wish the greens were a little better and it would have been a perfect day.. Great beverage lady and bartender were super friendly. Thanks for a great day..
