Back to an old friend
It has been at least 15 years since last playing here. I forgot how wonderful the course was from elevation changes to layout. The only criticism is the greens were incredibly slow compared with other courses we play. Very difficult to get the speed correct. We will be back!
Over priced and slow
Expect to be out there for 5-6 hours. Expect to be treated rudely by staff. Expect to over pay for a course that is , at best, average . Expect the range to be nothing but a teen scene or children’s birthday parties. Expect no bathrooms on back nine. Expect an odd course layout. If that appeals to you, you’ll love it. If not, skip the overpriced aggravation.
Fun and Challenging
Great conditions and plenty of elevation changes to challenge your game. Greens were fast and challenging with undulating breaks.
Decent, but overpriced
You can tell this course has been in rough shape and they're trying to bring it back. Solid layout with good potential. Not in great shape, but the lack of rain is a factor. Definitely overpriced for the condition it's currently in. Save your money or go play the Orange County National courses.
Superior
Fast greens that roll true, and roll out. May have to make some longer comebackers.
Very diverse layout with elevation changes and dog legs.
Trackman driving range (a little pricey).
Great central Florida value
Best value in Orlando area we found . Who knew there are rolling hills on a golf course in Florida :)
The course has a very interesting layout with lots of elevation changes. There are a few blind shots that I was not crazy about however, the course plays well. In addition, the range is second to none. Every stall has a trackman for shot analysis, and the food at the bar was very good along with lots of TVs .
We are going back on Sunday to catch around in the morning and then watch the Masters in the afternoon.
It looks like a great venue to spend your time.
One of the more interesting layouts I’ve played in recent times. Steep elevation changes made for a day of interesting shot making. And the course was in very good shape. Good value for the money.
Only negatives, the greens are massive but SLOW. Everyone in our group had trouble getting the ball near the hole. 3 putts galore.
And finally, like the greens, the pace of play was painfully slow. Just a few minutes under 5-1/2 hours.
Highly Recommend
Great staff and I expect this course to continue to only get better. Conditions were great other than the greens were SLOW. Healthy greens, though - potentially, since it is so hot and little rain, they are letting them get shaggy. My biggest complaint is there is no USGA rating. Not able to enter score towards handicap. Also, putting green is horrendous, but that is being picky. Definitely go play Clermont National.
Unique Track, Unparalleled Amenities!
First, the amenities: The Range is shaded with tables and chairs, and fully equipped with Top Tracer technology for a fun virtual round with friends or if you’re dialing in yardages before a round. A server will also take your food and beverage order. Behind the range is a courtyard with tables and chairs next to the full service bar. Before moving over to the clubhouse, you’ll see a green space with a putting green, bag toss, Connect 4, and picnic tables with umbrellas, where a server will also take your order. Inside the clubhouse is the aptly named restaurant The View, showcasing a wall of windows running the length of the building overlooking the hills of Clermont. They even have free valet parking. The course itself is an excellent layout with large elevation changes and picturesque views. 9 and 10 are particularly spectacular. Pace of play can sometimes be an issue here, but it’s day-to-day like most courses. I recommend this course to everyone, whether they’re avid golfers or not. It’s a great place just to bring the family and friends for some food and drink on a beautiful day and have some fun in the range!
Pace of play
One of the best courses in florida great elevation changes that is hard to find. The pace of play was over 5 hrs the greens were very slow! The overall condition of the course is good but could be so much better! They need to work on the bunkers and chipping areas. The fairways and tees were good but not great for the green fees they were charging.love the layout but I won't be back untill more work is done.
nice course, great day!
i had a really great time at clermont national. the course was in amazing shape and was one of the only courses i played that had nice grass around the greens. i got a good price on a hot deal and overall the course was a nice challenge.
Unfortunatel
No cart girl nowhere in sight. If you need one let me know I have a 17 yr old daughter that is looking. Only complaint about the course is 100 dollar round for greens that had just been sanded is very disappointing. Just be honest it goes a lot farther.
What a difference
We played this course a few times as Sanctuary Ridge... and it was always in terrible shape but the greens were ok, and the layout fun. A lot of Elevation Changes.
Now as Clermont National, it is in very good shape, the people are very friendly, and the 19th hole is better than anywhere around. Music, The Barn trackman driving range, Bean Bag Tossing Game (The real name is "Inappropriate language, lol) games. It is a great place to hangout. Will go back! Highly recommend
