Hole 3 Photo submitted by ashergolf on 02/12/2024
clermont national
good course and very interesting .. paid 100 bucks on golf now which is a fair price but not worth more than that. the bar area inside and out is very nice
and they have a full menu and live music at times
Need multiple rounds
Tough place to play without course knowledge too many blind tee and approach shots. Just about every hole has a blind tee or approach. Need one more round to figure out whether I like it or not
Great layout
They have done a great job bringing this course back from the goat ranch it once was. It’s always been a very good layout but now the conditions of course and the amenities live up to the layout. First 3 holes were backed up as there was a diabolical pin position on #3. If you weren’t below the hole on your first putt were guaranteed to be for your 2nd. Rough is lush in some places so keep it in the fairway.
Great layout
This course NEVER was easy, but it's in much better shape than I ever remember. Really have to play it a few times to understand shot placement. Overall, No weak spots!
Slow play is brutal
The course is challenging and well maintained but the slow play was brutal and sucked all the joy out of the round. I played Saturday and Sunday with 11am tee times. 4 1/2 and 5 hour rounds. Also, the food and beverage option seems nice but both afternoons I was there after my rounds there were dozens of kids of all ages. Glad they were having fun but it was a chaotic madhouse.
Not worth it
6.5 hour round, old corpses playing like their still on Oregon trail, staff is void of a smile and if you want a 150 yard par three and confused on wether you should hit it 105 or 230 yards because of e legation then this is your course.
Great condition
Course is in great condition post hurricane. Nice that they give a residents rate now.
An unexpected surprise in the middle of Florida.
First, ignore my 3 start course condition. It was 2 days after hurricane Milton. The fact that I was golfing at all was amazing. The fairways, and greens were fast and firm, mowed neat and trim, and I didn't need to take storm relief anywhere. Now the surprise.... the shot choices created by the layout, elevation changes, and various trouble spots, bunkers, waste areas, differing ruffs and native areas made just grabbing a club for yds to the pin and unreasonable things to do. I'm serious you won't believe your in central Fla. Just an amazing place to play. The place was packed, the driving range was shoulder to shoulder with all ages hanging out and having fun. Live music brought in a whole other crowd. Put Clermont National on your next visit to the Orlando area. It's cheaper and more fun than a day at the house of the mouse
Crazy $$$$$
This guy is out of his mind charging this kind of money. Course has come along way since he reopened, but not $120 worth. Obviously he doesn’t shop around to see what his comps are. Greens are nice. Real nice. But the rest of the course has a long way to go. And the tee sheet is wide open everyday. Think that would tell him he’s crazy! $60-$75 coming into season? All day long. Tops. See you in the late spring when he wakes up.
you can put lipstick on a pig...
still the sanctuary ridge dump it was several years ago and now these losers are charging $100 for a $20 golf course at best! good luck with that. the course is still mostly weeds and bare fairways. the "new" greens they put in are already beat up and bare in spots which comes from poor management and lazy greenskeepers. there were maintenance guys all over the course but mostly napping under trees or watching Spanish tv at full volume on their cell phones right next to the greens. the restaurant is trying to hard to be trendy and falling way short. avoid this place at all costs since there are over a dozen courses within 5 miles that are so so much better.
Have you never been confused on what club to hit on an elevated shot in golf??? You kidding me and you are atill writing a review! Stick to pickle ball
