est of poor topography
Kind of tricked up. Probably trying to make the best of poor topography
not good
WAY overpriced for the conditions, would NOT recommend
First time since renovation
First time playing since the renovation, or should I say reincarnation of Sanctuary Ridge. The last time I played it as Sanctuary Ridge I said I would never go back. Period. What they have done to revamp the course, and even more notable, the range area is remarkable. To me the course is still gimicky. Blind shots, forced carry tee shots, should invest in GPS in the carts for the price that is charged. But the conditions were really good for winter golf, and worth it if the price is right.
It was Enjoyable
The pace of play was just a little slow. The course layout and elevation changes makes it an enjoyable and interesting round. I will go back.
Greens were very good as was the rest of the course conditions. Fun and challenging layout
Ballbuster
In great shape, kinda like Legends Clermont on Steroids! Love blind approaches...trust it and execute.
A unique top notch public course in central Florida
Pleasantly surprised by Clermont National!
Greens were beautiful and consistent!
Be ready to play every cub in your bag.
CN has it all!
New course added to our Florida trip
I was skeptical when adding a new course to our annual golf trip to Orlando , but I was very impressed with Clermont by the price and the course layout and conditions. This course will be added to the yearly trip . Thanks
A staple of our course rotation.
They keep improving the course and their ammonites. Lake county residents get a price break.
Unique Design with Extreme Elevation Changes
Significant elevation changes on pretty much every hole, with numerous blind shots. Course knowledge is paramount and an App such as GolfLogix made navigating our way around a lot easier. A lase rangefinder with slope was also extremely helpful in choosing the right club into the green, especially on par 3s. Greens' speed was adequate on undulating and sever slopes. Figuring out the breaks require significant course knowledge. Overall, a fun day on a unique design golf course on a perfect blue-sky day.
Course guide
My wife and I had an excellent time and enjoyed all the amenities. The only thing I would say is have course guides or maps to give to the players so that the blind shops are known.
What an amazing place
The staff were friendly and helpful. The entire facility was as worth the trip itself. Great restaurant, amazing range with all the technology you need.
The bar beside the range was really nice too.
The course is a fantastic layout. Plenty of challenges for all levels of golfers. It’s in fantastic condition. It is far from a typical Florida track with many elevation changes. Fairways and tee boxes are in excellent condition and the greens are receptive and roll quick and true.
Pace of play was great…for 8 holes…then not so much. We played in the afternoon so no marshals.
Don’t be discouraged by that. Have the mindset before you go it could be a 4h 45m round and just enjoy this amazing set up.
Sorry we played it so late in our trip. I would have definitely gone back.
It's back baby!!!
Clermont National AKA Sanctuary Ridge is back to it's once impressive form. Great layout with wonderful elevation changes not common in FLA. Greens and fairways excellent, nothing bad to say. Play smart and you can score well on this track. Great job!!!
