Nice layout
Course was in good condition, greens very good. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed our day.
Good solid course
Typical Florida course "flat" he
Greens in excellent condition although a little slow. No exceptionally long carries. Pace of play was fast, practice area was very good, large putting green that was very consistent with course greens
December (almost) golf
The course was in good shape - particularly the greens. It took us only 3 hours to play 18 holes on beautiful day with the temperature approaching 80 degrees. Not bad for the 28th of November, eh?
My only complaint is that I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and found SIX BONES in it!!!
Tried and true
Laurel Island remains a great value in the Saint Mary's area. Nice layout and some good marsh and water views on several holes. A lot more houses on the course than what I recall, and not a fan of the way they've opened up development on several back nine holes but I guess that housing growth was inevitable. Course was in pretty good shape and looks well set for some seasonal winter play.
Beautiful Views
Enjoyable experience.A nice course and at a good price.
Better off practicing
Greens on the front were extremely hairy and rolling at about a 5, then over half the back 9 greens were burned, or had a fungus. The links layout was nice with some beautiful views but I haven't been on greens that bad in a year. My home course rolls better the day after we punch. Save your money and hit some balls at the range instead.
Great value
This course is in much better shape than several years ago. Nice layout and holes number 2and 3 are great views. The price is a great value and the people are friendly.
Greens/Fairways
There are some strange weeds growing out in the middle of some of the fairways. Cannot understand how the mower completes Fairway mowing without cutting the weeds.
Some of the greens are and less than perfect condition. Number 18 is burned on about 25% of the green. About four others appear the same.
Ranger
We enjoy playing this course . We have played it approximately 10 times now but the past two outings we have had issues with the starter/ranger. We spent over $200 yesterday between the three of us . We played 18 stopped and ate lunch at clubhouse then decided to play 9 more. We payed for our round went to first tee but starter no where in sight so we started our round. Got to 4th hole and here comes the ranger asking to see each of our tickets and being somewhat smart about it. One thing I can tell you about myself and the company I keep, we are hardworking honest men who enjoy our Saturday on the golf course. We usually stay within a hour from our homes which is Brunswick,GA. After he checked our tickets we finished our round in a aggravated state and as we discussed the situation we have decided to not play this course for a while if ever again . Sad to say it because the course is usually in great shape and we like to play here . Hopefully the upper management can get a handle on the golf corse employees etiquette and invite us back. If not we will not be back.
Great Value
Some of the greens were a bit rough, likely due to lack of rain. However, based upon what we paid for the round, it is a great value. Well worth the drive up from Amelia Island.
Great time
Thoroughly enjoyed my round. Course in great shape
Bad greens
Some kind of Fungus or something ruining some greens, all greens aerated recently, pretty rough.
Tee boxes and fairways poor to fair.
Looks like owner won't spend money to make this course as nice as it could be.
Unfinished Maintenance...
Nothing is more upsetting to a golfer that to hit a great approach shot into the first green and be unable to even attempt the birdie. The pro shop said the greens were punched on 6/1...almost 3 weeks ago. Unless you fill the holes with sand, all you will have is a green that is full of holes.
I empty my bottle of sand on the front nine. Unfilled divots every where.
NOT HAPPY!!!
Great layout
Played this course many times and never left disappointed. They airrated greens week ago greens were bumby but that was to be expected. Couple par 3's greens were in poor condition. Still had a great time. A must play!
Great track
This course has always been a favorite in Southeast GA. Challenging layout. 3/4 par 5s are reachable with a good drive and the par 3s are varied distances that will make you think about club choice. Also, there are some par 4s that are long that make even long hitters use a mid iron into the green. A few of the greens have problems with mold but the staff is very attentive to these issues and they don't last long.
HARD as a ROCK
They do not water the fairways, greens or tee boxes, if you hit straight it will go a mile....but it has to go straight or the water will get you or the trees will as well. Nice outing, got paired with a local and got lots of heads up otherwise would have been a triple digit score
Not the same course anymore
I have been playing this course since 1998 and have always considered it to be my favorite course. However the last two times I have played there have left me very dissatisfied. Tee boxes and Fairways are still in excellent shape but they are loosing their greens. Grass is very spotty on many and not the lush putting surface they have been known for. Also whoever is setting the pin placement needs lessons. Too may cups on the side of hills. Putted up hill to cup on #7, missed to the left and the ball rolled back past me. Three or four other holes the same. Will not be returning any time soon.
Hidden Gem
Located about 30 miles north of Jacksonville this is a great find for vacationing golfer. The people are friendly. The restaurant is very nice and affordable. The course was in fine shape. Fun to see 2 alligators sunning themselves at one of the numerous water holes. Only drawback was it took 4 1/2 hours to play. I recommend the course.
awesome day at Laurel links
always enjoyable look forward to playing a couple of rounds each spring

Have played this course many times over the yrs and have never seen it in worst shape than now. Greens were aireated over a month ago but you wouldnt know it by their rate!! Small holes from aireation i understand but greens are also burnt almost impossible to putt. No beverage cart, water coolers on holes empty!
