About
Mystery Valley Golf Club encompasses 230 acres of gently rolling land that ranges from dense forests of towering Georgia pines to grassy meadows covered in acres of colorful wildflowers. Mystery Valley is known for both the beautiful scenery on the course itself and the stunning views from the elevated tees. There are two lakes and a pond that dot the course, coming into play on three holes. At just over 6,700 yards, the layout features some long holes but it will also test your short game with strategically placed bunkers around the fast, medium-sized greens. There is an interesting variety of holes including several winding par 5s and the watery and treacherous 15th hole, which is considered one of Atlanta's most challenging par 4s. The more challenging elements of Mystery Valley Golf Club are balanced by the generous, player-friendly fairways.

Greens fast but fair
Sand traps are excellent, fairways OK but still dormant. Greens are getting faster, as some downhill putts must be 13+ on the stimpmeter. Always a good test of golf.

Good winter golf
Good weather brought out a lot of golfers, so pace was longer than usual. Greens are still fast but fair with splotchy areas. Fairways are dormant but still playable. Always OK.

Fair course for intermediate golfers
Course has a good rhythm. Front and back have similar layout. Starts out with variety of shots, then holes that reward good drives, then good finishing holes.
Walkable course. Don’t lose balls often. Not much water in play.
Greens need work.

several greens were extremely fast but were plaayable

Wet conditions
Because of the wet conditions the course was playable but made scoring difficult. Sand traps were good, fairways were very soft offering no roll, and the greens were reasonably fast, although there were bare spots on most greens. All in all, it's in pretty good shape for the middle of winter.

A must play
A very nice course with a very good layout. They’re going to be redoing the greens which really need it but the layout of the course and the fairways were all in decent or above decent condition. Pace of play was the four hours and 20 minutes and that was a 12 noon to 1230 start. I played with three local gentlemen and had a wonderful time.
