About
Mystery Valley Golf Club encompasses 230 acres of gently rolling land that ranges from dense forests of towering Georgia pines to grassy meadows covered in acres of colorful wildflowers. Mystery Valley is known for both the beautiful scenery on the course itself and the stunning views from the elevated tees. There are two lakes and a pond that dot the course, coming into play on three holes. At just over 6,700 yards, the layout features some long holes but it will also test your short game with strategically placed bunkers around the fast, medium-sized greens. There is an interesting variety of holes including several winding par 5s and the watery and treacherous 15th hole, which is considered one of Atlanta's most challenging par 4s. The more challenging elements of Mystery Valley Golf Club are balanced by the generous, player-friendly fairways.

Beautiful layout, great value
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this golf course. They are six sets of tees to choose from, and the greens are in pretty good shape. The bunkers are quite well-maintained, and the layout is beautiful. This is a highly recommended merchandise value.

always fun to play
I've always loved this course. Course was busy and they didn't have enough carts. We had to wait an hour past our tee time to get one. Caused us to not get 18 holes in. The clubhouse manager gave me his card and said to call and he'd take care of us next time. Very kind and aware. I'll go back. Fun and challenging course at a good price.

Great day for winter golf
The course is in good winter shape. There are small bare spots on the greens, but the greens roll very well. The pace of play was slow (4:40) due to everyone trying to get out for a round in great winter weather. Not perfect, but very playable.

Great staff and you get your money’s worth
Pros: Super friendly staff, efficient and responsive. It’s a huge course and usually takes us 4+ hours. A good amount of bathrooms. You will likely see herds of deer from the 12-15th hole.
Cons: No cart service for beverages. No Course Marshal. There are patrons that are not mindful of their slow pace. I’m all for having a fun and relaxing day, but standing at the pin and continuing to chat rather than move on is just plain disrespectful. In the winter, you have to start by 1:00 bc the sun goes down quickly at 5:30.

Bad shape
I'm not sure why it cost this much to play this course. The greens have got to be the worst in the area. Big craters on every green. This course is in BAD SHAPE. A true waist of money!

Turn around if Dwight is at the counter
Showed up to play a short 9. Dwight was extremely hostile and didn’t want to deal with anyone that day. He said cart return was at 5pm which was not a problem for us since it get dark early in Dec. Instead of working with us he decided to turn us away. Wasted 2 hours driving to and from the course on a nice Saturday afternoon. This is probably the 4th or 5th time this course has been a disappointment.

Good and Bad
Staff friendliness was ver good. Course layout is nice and I I like that you can hit out of the fairway and still find your ball. Greens were full of marks and bare spots. I also learned players don’t repair divots. Poor grade for customer service. Apparently on Mondays no food or drink are offered. Really?

Not enough Golf Carts!
Did not even get a chance to play so left. Granted it was a busy time since it was the day before Thanksgiving and I was 10 minutes late getting there, but it took 45 minutes before the next available cart came in.and there were two groups ahead of me. They should have stopped taking reservations after 1:00 PM or should have been more aggressive with slow players. Sorry won't be back

No golf for you
Hour behind, no carts, couldn’t honor our reservation. Didn’t get to play golf because the place is so poorly run.

Bunker Care
This is the first course I’ve played in a long while that actually maintains their bunkers. I enjoy the beach more than most others, but only if the sand is soft and fluffy like it’s supposed to be. They redid the bunkers earlier this year or late last year. They seem to actually take pride in their course, nice change. I only gave it 4 stars because of the old carts and snack bar. They need to broaden the beer selection and keep hot dogs a little fresher.
