About
Mystery Valley Golf Club encompasses 230 acres of gently rolling land that ranges from dense forests of towering Georgia pines to grassy meadows covered in acres of colorful wildflowers. Mystery Valley is known for both the beautiful scenery on the course itself and the stunning views from the elevated tees. There are two lakes and a pond that dot the course, coming into play on three holes. At just over 6,700 yards, the layout features some long holes but it will also test your short game with strategically placed bunkers around the fast, medium-sized greens. There is an interesting variety of holes including several winding par 5s and the watery and treacherous 15th hole, which is considered one of Atlanta's most challenging par 4s. The more challenging elements of Mystery Valley Golf Club are balanced by the generous, player-friendly fairways.

The course is looking great!
The course is looking great and you can tell a lot of work is being done to make it nice. The pace of play was a little slow, but was able to play thru.
I like seeing the grill open again. I hope everyone buys a little something from it, too keep it going.
Worth the trip

THE GREENS ARE TERRIBLE. THEY HAVE GUYS CUTTING AND BLOWING. BUT NOBODY TAKING CARE OF THE GREENS. THEY REALLY NEED SOME WORK. FIX THE GREENS AND THE COURSE WOULD BE NICE.

Great value
There’s no starter so it’s a free for all. I teed off at my designated time and the two singles and one pair who were near the tee box waited and watched. None of them wanted to join so off I went and they waited. I had to wait 6-8 minutes per hole because of the pair in front of me. When we made the turn the group two ahead of me were still on the teebox. Instead of committing to the 5+ hour round, I circled back to #1. Finished the second 9 in an hour, no waiting.
The layout is fun, requires some precision shots. The greens were exactly the speed I like them which is probably slow for most people. I loved them…rolled in a good number of 1 putts.
Overall the value for the money can’t be matched at this course. It’s not a country club so expect some rough spots on the greens, some hard teeboxes, and a lot of “ground under repair”. The bunkers were great surprisingly. I thoroughly enjoyed the course.
If you don’t break 80 consistently, play from the white tees, you’ll really enjoy this course.

Get out b4 the members
Had to wait 5 minutes at every hole, after 3 hours I had to give it up. The front 9 is in great shape, hoping to go back earlier in the week.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. I’ll be back!
Passing through the front gate, you drive between most of the front and it’s a GREAT intro.
Friendly and helpful staff, the 1st is a par 5 that gets you going well.
Bunkers are well placed, clean with nice soft sand.
Not much water in play, but I did manage to find it twice.
A surprise on the back is a nice view of Stone Mountain.
I will go back…starting with Father’s Day with my sons!

Mystery keeping its luster
Mystery is one of those old school public courses that is still keeping its luster. The layout is a solid test. The greens are in good shape for a public track. The little things could be a bit better like, tee boxes, maintenance on trees, bunker consistency. Overall a treat for the money!

Good Enough
I play Mystery Valley a couple of times a year and always enjoy it. Our group hit from the yellow tees, and that was plenty of challenge for us. It seemed to me that the fairways are a little thinner than usual, but perhaps that will change with more rain and heat. The greens putt well and have held up to all the play on the course. There's not a lot of break, but don't get above the hole.
