Nice course
Very nice course, well kept. Very very slow pace was the only down side.
Will be back
Trident Lakes is a good value. We really enjoyed the course layout. The course was in good shape with the exception on the tees and greens. The greens rolled fairly true but were very slow (needed mowing). The tee boxes were rough, apparently from heavy use. Overall, the course was good. It has some challenging holes and is fairly open.
Special note: Bruce checked us in. He was very pleasant and welcoming. He was in the golf shop by himself during busy check in time. He did an excellent job at accommodating several guests with a smile on his face. Nice job Bruce!
Great for the average golfer
Beginner friendly course, staff is great. Never had a bad experience here.
Trident Lakes
Course in good to very good shape for February. Greens rolled true. Sand traps were firm, needed fluffed. Tee boxes very good shape.
Great Beginner Course
I've played Trident Lakes 3 or 4 times. I'm a beginner playing to make par. This course is great for my ability and distance. The grounds are maintained well and the staff is always friendly and helpful.
Slow Pace of Play
A lot of players resulted in a very slow pace of play. Waited on every tee box for the groups ahead of us.
Will try to avoid Friday's to play here.
Mostly good, but terrible pace of play
I've played this course many times, but likely won't be back after my experience last Sunday. It's a fun layout and the course conditions are generally very good, but the pace of play has been a real problem of late. This past Sunday, I was sent off the back nine (on #10) at 11:05 and they weren't letting anyone go off on #1. Well, when I finished #9 and headed to #1 to finish my round, the pro shop had started letting walkers go off on #1 ahead of those coming off the back 9, I was pretty disappointed in this and basically abandoned my round, which had been pretty slow to begin with. No way I was going to try and get around the front behind a bunch of walkers. Again, nice course and great bargain, but pace of play just ruins everything. Probably great if you can play on weekdays, but weekends are just not a good option.
Fast Greens and lots of wind
Greens were fast with hard to read pin placements. Greens have a lot of different breaks, take a second look when reading a putt. Pace of play was very very slow.
