Fairways Country Club
About
The golf course at Fairways Country Club is a short course but it is quite unforgiving. Water hazards come into play on fifteen of the eighteen holes of the course. The greens are small and tight and they are in excellent condition. There are also strategically placed bunkers situated throughout as well for extra challenge. The signature hole of the course is the par-5 5th hole, which has water on both sides of the fairway and it also runs across it 100 yards from the green. The course has three sets of teeboxes to accommodate different abilities and handicaps.

great quiet course
great course for beginners and average players.
lots of water and narrow fairways to steal your balls..
great course for the money.
Between the rain drops
This course doesn't drain well. With all the rain it is par for this course. I took the chance that it was dry, but it wasn't. So call first to find out about the course conditions in regard to rain. Otherwise I had a great time.
Hole In One
First Hole In One so I would say excellent golf day. Hole number 12, par 3 score 1. All that needs to be said
Boats and Holes
I like this golf course but it does not drain well, which made playing difficult. I felt if I had a boat instead of a cart I would have made less holes on the course.
I'll be back when the course is dry. This is an inherent condition to the course environment not the fault of management and maintenance.
I recommend this course when it's dry.
I play Fairways often
This is a nice course with good greens. Most of the holes are fairly short with 6 par threes. There is water on 15 of the holes and accuracy is very critical to good scoring.
Due to all the recent rain, I would not recommend playing before we get a few dry days.
Outside beverages are allowed...a big plus for me.
Golf on a Pond
Probably should have asked for rain check. Many fairways under water....grass very high in a lot of areas and could not locate balls sometimes in fairway. Also so wet, balls were plugging and hard to find. Weird that the greens were pretty good. Had to stay on cart path, which I totally understand, but got more exercise than planned. Hope course will keep cart path rule for a few days at least or the course will be heavily damaged. Excuse me while I dry off {:
Fantastic Greens / Solid Course
Yes, this course winds it's way through a community of (well-kept) manufactured homes. This said, it's clear that residents love their course. The tee boxes, fairways and rough are in in decent shape. The greens are excellent and CHALLENGING. Lots of undulations, fast, and generally fun. For to price, this course is a great deal. This is reasonably challenging for a beginner to intermediate golfer. Water is rarely in play, and it's wide open...but practice your putting before you head out!
Goat ranch
I selected this course based upon positive reviews. I don't know what course they played but this is a goat ranch with 25 year old carts lined by double-wide trailers.. If that's what you're looking for play here.
Enjoyable course
Course was in very good shape. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be playing there again before we leave Orlando.
Fun course
We had a great time. Excellent staff, and the course was in good shape. Course is tight, but not as tight as some of the other reviews would lead you to believe. First timers should study the hole maps on the scorecard because some of the water hazards are not clearly visible. We will be back for sure.
Short course
This course has been well taken care of. Played in February and greens and fairways were very good. Course is tough
because of tight fairways and water on most fairways.
Fun but challenging course to play
A very nice layout with plenty of water hazards and some tight fairways. The green are in good condition, putts faster than they look. You can score well on this course if you can hit straight.
course was great, problem with renting clubs,no lefthand clubs to rent,1 player couldn,t play'
Great day of golf
This round was the best i have seen the greens. They have done a great job. The fairways are not the best but really bad lies are not frequent.
I played with my wife who seldom plays, myself a 22hc and a senior in college we met on the course. He was very good and could play mid seventies anywhere. This course was fun for all three of us. My wife had par opportunities when she made decent shots for her. We all were challenged but there are some 'easy' holes too.
Grab a hot dog after 9 and have fun!
Good value
The pace was a bit slow. The green is quite good, and somewhat challenging. Good for beginner and average golfer. It was good price.
Greens great shape, carts need to be replaced
The greens were like nice carpet today. They are rolling so reading a putt is a must and finding that break is challenging. Fairways are in decent shape overall and they have cleared a lot of brush since I played here a year ago. New ball washers are in place which is nice. The golf carts need to be replaced. Seats have tears, steering is a bit weird, brakes almost non existent. Not sure if they are making a go of this place or if it's slowly sinking and they can't afford to improve the carts. It's a bit of a challenge to play between all the houses but overall a fun course to play.
nice course
I don't hit long drives so this course, which is a bit short by some peoples standards, works for me.
There is water on almost every hole and the shot landing zones are tight. Not a course with extra wide fairways.
I have shot 81 and 110 here.....play it a couple of times a month...greens are good, fairways okay.
Try it out if you are in the area...wouldn't drive and hour for it though
Thank you for playing Fairways Golf Club and providing us with feedback regarding you experience. We certainly understand your frustration regarding the wet conditions as it frustrates us as well. As you noted, our greens are in great shape and we are very proud of them. As we are with the entire course, when the conditions are dry. Thanks again for the great feedback, and we hope to see you back out at the course under dryer conditions.
