Fairways Country Club
About
The golf course at Fairways Country Club is a short course but it is quite unforgiving. Water hazards come into play on fifteen of the eighteen holes of the course. The greens are small and tight and they are in excellent condition. There are also strategically placed bunkers situated throughout as well for extra challenge. The signature hole of the course is the par-5 5th hole, which has water on both sides of the fairway and it also runs across it 100 yards from the green. The course has three sets of teeboxes to accommodate different abilities and handicaps.

Best greens in East Orlando
I've played every course in the area, Eastwood, Wedgefield, Stoneybrook, Twin Rivers, etc. and none compare to Fairways. The round is insanely cheap, I played on a senior day (Thursday) for just $18 but I also saw Tuesday was a senior day and their student rates were only $15. For that price I wasn't expecting much but boy did I get a lot for that price. The staff was extremely pleasant and outgoing and genuinely wanted to see me have a good time while there, the course conditions were great. Tee boxes and greens were fantastic, a few fairways still need some TLC but the manager there was explaining how they recently put in a new irrigation system and what the plans are for the future of the course. I had a hotdog combo for $5 which was one of the best hot dogs I've ever eaten and it included chips and a fountain drink, and also $12 six-packs of beer, I thought those prices were long gone on a golf course. I've never had a bad experience here and every time I play somewhere else it just reminds me of how much better it is at Fairways. Give it a shot guys, you'll love it!
a good day at the course
Very fair if you can keep your shots in the fairway -- lots of water - sand was well maintained - overall a good day at the course.
Well laid out tract
This is your typical park layout. Winding it's way through the mobile home community the course has water in the right places . Still spring course conditions, but nice enough still.
perfekt
Idet jeg er fra Denmark, så skriver jeg på dansk, rigtig GOD BANE, kan kun anbefale den , meget hyggelig.
bente & jaen
Great course
Nice course to play, very scenic. Staff very friendly. Nicely kept, greens roll true. Challenging narrow fairways, Lots of water. Great deal for the money you pay.
Only thing I didn't like is lots of houses around some holes.
More than 9 holes
This is an 18 hole golf course. They were just putting in a new irrigation system but it was still playable. It was more difficult than I expected. Much water and narrow fairways. The greens were in good shape. The people at the pro shop were very friendly. It appeared that there was much work being done for this course to upgrade it. Great course for the price.
GOOD COURSE/ GREAT STAFF
I played as a single. There was a 5-some in front of me so I hit a few balls of each tee. The 5-some played well so they played at a great pace. The greens are being worked on the back 9 so you had to play the front 9 twice for 18 holes. I played 9 holes and when I went to play the 1st hole again. There were 2 5-somes and a 4-some ahead of me. I didn't play the 9 again. The manager there saw I was leaving early because of the congestion and gave me 2 free rounds of golf because he wanted me to come back. Very classy and gracious by him (sorry I didn't catch his name). Even without the free rounds I would come back. It is a nice course to play.
Lack of information
We were advised when we arrived that the back nine were closed for sprinkler work. We wish we would have known. GolfNow didn't advise either. The front nine was very wet with a lot of soggy muddy areas on the fairways. I understand the rain around here but it has very poor drainage. Even when you had good shots you could still be in muddy areas. The staff are very nice and they have a great hotdog...that saved the day!
Good Practice Course
This course suits anyone who just wants to play golf for relaxing and having fun or just to test out your skills and keep in form, really good for practing ,I will be back again to see if i can better my score on this course. Greens can be slow and fast at the same time.
The course has fast play
A twosome in front of were playing so when we caught up to them they let us pass with no delay to our game. The course was in good shape and is very scenic.
For practice
A short course surrounded by Trailers.
Two holes on every green ....ist more like a joke.
For practuice reasons not so bad.
Nice retirement community course
The draw to this course is the second hole on every green! It's 15 inches wide!! Gives me new hope that I can hit that hole in one or get an albatross! Cool place, very friendly staff and a well maintained course...can't beat the value for the price.
Nice course
My 16 yr old son and I really enjoyed the layout and it was hard enough for me yet not too hard for him. We will go again.
It Is What It Is
Great course for the money. Super friendly staff. Interesting layout. Best value in the Orlando area. This is not Pebble Beach, but a down home friendly course to have fun on. There is some water and tight fairways to keep it interesting. Amazing number of birds on the course. No frills- try it- you'll like it!!
Play it!
Golf Dir was great. Had to wear many hats, but no probs. Very accommodating. Highly recommend the Margaritas as well.
Cheers,
first time back in 5yrs
Overall they've course some nice condition change, no real issues to complain about. Value was greart under 20 second to tee off, and the ahead allowed us to play through 18 in 3 plus hours. The greens are slow.. One issue off 10th tee a resident (?) shouted out a none repeatable statement shame shame.
Short but interesting and worth a try
This course is certainly short by today's standards, but ideal for seniors. It requires accuracy and has fairly small greens, multiple water hazards and wooded areas. Course conditions are good for the most part (tees and greens), and our morning round took just over 3 hours with 3 groups on the 1st tee. I found it to be fair, fun, and worth playing.
Next to one tee on the back 9, a group of about 15 large turtles came up to the edge of the water looking for handouts.
nice course
The only thing I did not like at all was I can from Melbourne and had a 7:00 tee time. Not open. No one there till 7:10. Drove 60 mile to get there on time, left at 5:15 AM, got there 6:30 NOT OPEN. After I got over this I had a good time.
Water everywhere
Played from the back tees...still a short course. Most lateral water I've ever seen plus several holes where you had to carry 220+ to get to the fairway when playing back tees which we did. Lots of low brush along edges of rough not marked as lateral hazard resulting in unplayably lies. Palm trees that eat golf balls.
The uniqueness of this course is the 15" cups.
