About
The 27-hole course at Schaumburg Golf Club is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations that range from just over 6,000 yards to 6,700 yards. The Tournament, Baer, and Players Courses all provide a unique set of challenges but they share the same great conditions on their tees, greens, and fairways. Schaumburg has been host to numerous events since opening in 1928, including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. It is a popular course since the club offers country club amenities and quality with the affordability of a public golf course. Schaumburg's Players/Baer combination starts out with a few tricky carries over water on the front nine and a more forgiving back nine. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, however.

Nice layout, very good shape
Baer / Tournament rotation - Nice mix of holes.
Some water, some sand - most approach shots do not require a carry of either sand or water.
One or two mini-golf pin placements - bad with reasonably quick greens. For the Chicago area, a pretty good value overall
Course is great.Greens need some help
Got stuck with another twosome and young kid. Could not concentrate on round as kid was all over course.People knew we were upset.Finally got to play 7,8,9. by ourselves.Course should not allow kids to play unless they no the game of golf.

Schaumburg Golf Club = SLOW GOLF
Only 18 of the 27 holes at Schaumburg were open, they were aerating the Tournament course, which is the best of the 3 nines. That should have been noted on the booking page.
The course is in great shape except the green were shaggy and very slow to putt. The pace of play was awful! There was 4 some of older women that held up everybody and to make matters worse, nobody from the course did anything to move them along. Anybody that's ever been behind a 4 some of older ladies knows what this does to the pace of play.
Also, the 4 some in front of us had 3 carts and one guy walking... UGH!
Check in was odd, there were 2 guys in the Pro Shop & neither seemed all that interested in helping or answering any questions. Neither bothered to offer a greeting (Facebook is too important?).
Both were staring at their cell phones when we came in. One of them, the gentlemen with tats all over his arm, seemed downright bothered by the fact that we booked through GolfNow.com.
The Golf service was very poor.
The clubhouse is very nice, the restaurant/bar is beautiful and the food is very good. Several TV's to view and good prices.

We have recently aerified the whole course which is why you may have found the greens a little shaggy and a little slow to put. We are sorry you were behind a slow group, we understand how important pace of play is for all players. We actually took action to try to speed them up. Great Day
Course is in fine condition. Unfortunately I got stuck behind a tournment and had to quit after 16 holes because there were just too many of them in front of me. I am from St. Louis, and this course is in great shape. I love the bent fairways and greens, and the tee boxes are in excellent shape for this time of year.

poor greens
Divots are not being repaired on greens, greens not running true to shaggy hole. Also greens slow with little break.

Great price
Good bang for your buck. Played 9 holes for $12 bucks. Not too short, not too long.

Don't miss playing this fine course
A very enjoyable round. The course provided plenty of challenges, an ample amount of water and sand traps. A fair layout though without a lot of blind shots or side hill lies. Multiple tees provide golfers of varying skills a good experience. One of just a few courses I've played recently where I could enjoy a good and challenging course that is reasonably priced and in really good shape, and my wife was able to play the front tees, have fun and not be overwhelmed. We had a great day.

A Definite Recommend
Played the Baer and Tournament course, then played the Player course afterwards because we liked the conditions so much. Baer and Tournament are the more interesting of the 3 courses. Courses are challenging, but fair. Starters and Beverage cart staff are really friendly and nice. Will definitely be back to play again.

Fun and challenging
Had a great round. Course was in very good condition. Greens were true. First time playing Baer and was really impressed. Have played Tournament and Players before and really enjoyed changing it up.

And it makes me wonder
I truly can't understand why Schaumburg only gets 3.9 stars when I see so many other courses in the area that are far less quality receiving 4+ stars. Without a doubt, Schaumburg Golf Course has some of the finest bent grass fairways and tee boxes in all the Chicagoland area. Throw in the fact that the greens roll nice and true and this course is a top notch public facility. The staff is awesome. If you're a person who likes to get a bite to eat after playing, the food at Chandler's is fantastic.

Excellent Park District Course
Schaumburg is a fun golf experience with wide fairways and generous greens. The greens are a bit slower this year, which is helpful, as they have been too fast in previous years.

Schaumburg GC is a hidden gem
Truly enjoyed the round...felt like a round at a country club. No waiting on any hole...playing on a Monday afternoon certainly helps. The started mentioned what our time should be after 9 and 18 holes, which I think more starters should do so that the pace of play keeps moving. We finished in 4 hours, which was great. Greens firm, fast, but help iron shots and rolled true. Steal at $35/cart.

Tricky Course.
Really cool course with a lot of fun par 4's. Very well kept, and the staff keeps play moving. Definitely play again, and would recommend.

Great course
I'm a beginner golfer. Schaumburg has 3 separate 9 hole courses. I played the tournament course. Hot deal on golf now got a friend and I a round of 9 + a cart for $36 total. Can't beat the price and the course was delightful
