About
The 27-hole course at Schaumburg Golf Club is divided into three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations that range from just over 6,000 yards to 6,700 yards. The Tournament, Baer, and Players Courses all provide a unique set of challenges but they share the same great conditions on their tees, greens, and fairways. Schaumburg has been host to numerous events since opening in 1928, including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. It is a popular course since the club offers country club amenities and quality with the affordability of a public golf course. Schaumburg's Players/Baer combination starts out with a few tricky carries over water on the front nine and a more forgiving back nine. There are strategically placed bunkers throughout the course, however.

Great price
Good bang for your buck. Played 9 holes for $12 bucks. Not too short, not too long.
Don't miss playing this fine course
A very enjoyable round. The course provided plenty of challenges, an ample amount of water and sand traps. A fair layout though without a lot of blind shots or side hill lies. Multiple tees provide golfers of varying skills a good experience. One of just a few courses I've played recently where I could enjoy a good and challenging course that is reasonably priced and in really good shape, and my wife was able to play the front tees, have fun and not be overwhelmed. We had a great day.

A Definite Recommend
Played the Baer and Tournament course, then played the Player course afterwards because we liked the conditions so much. Baer and Tournament are the more interesting of the 3 courses. Courses are challenging, but fair. Starters and Beverage cart staff are really friendly and nice. Will definitely be back to play again.

Fun and challenging
Had a great round. Course was in very good condition. Greens were true. First time playing Baer and was really impressed. Have played Tournament and Players before and really enjoyed changing it up.

And it makes me wonder
I truly can't understand why Schaumburg only gets 3.9 stars when I see so many other courses in the area that are far less quality receiving 4+ stars. Without a doubt, Schaumburg Golf Course has some of the finest bent grass fairways and tee boxes in all the Chicagoland area. Throw in the fact that the greens roll nice and true and this course is a top notch public facility. The staff is awesome. If you're a person who likes to get a bite to eat after playing, the food at Chandler's is fantastic.

Excellent Park District Course
Schaumburg is a fun golf experience with wide fairways and generous greens. The greens are a bit slower this year, which is helpful, as they have been too fast in previous years.

Schaumburg GC is a hidden gem
Truly enjoyed the round...felt like a round at a country club. No waiting on any hole...playing on a Monday afternoon certainly helps. The started mentioned what our time should be after 9 and 18 holes, which I think more starters should do so that the pace of play keeps moving. We finished in 4 hours, which was great. Greens firm, fast, but help iron shots and rolled true. Steal at $35/cart.

Tricky Course.
Really cool course with a lot of fun par 4's. Very well kept, and the staff keeps play moving. Definitely play again, and would recommend.

Great course
I'm a beginner golfer. Schaumburg has 3 separate 9 hole courses. I played the tournament course. Hot deal on golf now got a friend and I a round of 9 + a cart for $36 total. Can't beat the price and the course was delightful

Very good park District course
Great course , in excellent condition especially given the number of rounds I suspect are played . All staff were friendly and excellent . My only critcism was that the pace of play was very slow . There was a marshall who went past me two or three times but did not do anything . As a single I realise I do not have any rights , but there were two slow foursomes ahead of me and then a considerable gap to the next groups . It would have been courteous for those groups to invite me through . Also the marshall could have become engaged and managed the situation .

As far as the pace of play is concerned, please note that you do have a say when it comes to playing through. According to the Etiquette section (Section I) in the USGA Rules of Golf, “It is a group’s responsibility to keep up with the group in front. If it loses a clear hole and it is delaying the group behind, it should invite the group behind to play through, irrespective of the number of players in that group. Where a group has not lost a clear hole, but it is apparent that the group behind can play faster, it should invite the faster moving group to play through.” In the future please do not hesitate to discuss your current situation on the golf course with our marshals if you need assistance. Great course, great location, great value!
First time golfing at Schaumburg Golf Club. It was great. We golfed the Tournament 9 - it was beautiful and in very good condition. It's challenging, but not too tough if you tend to spray your shots around a little like me. Booked this round with a cart for $22 - great price! I will be back to golf there soon!

Nice course when under $50
Pace of play could have been quicker. I had lots of walkers in front of me, but to be fair, the staff was upfront and informed me of such. Course was kept up well and there are a few tricky holes.

Very good condition
We play Schaumburg a lot because it is nearby. The Tournament 9 hole course is varied, but pretty easy (low slope/rating). The day we played for this review, the weather was perfect and course was in great condition because of all the rain we have had this summer. The Golf Now price was lower than the resident rates.

Great course conditions
When I play the course again, I will play it from the tips. It was in excellent condition, however, the greens were a bit slower than I am used to. The pace of play was not an issue, but some of the golfers should be more respectful of the course. The layout was very fair for the average golfer, but not quite challenging enough for single digit handicappers. The sand traps could use more sand. The grill and restaurant (Chandlers) are excellent.

Quality Course
Played on a Sunday afternoon with some friends. Starter was courteous and friendly. Even though it had a lot of play that weekend, course was in great shape and still busy. I would definitely go back again. Great value for the money.

Nice
Overall great conditions. Props to the starter and rangers for monitoring pace of play. Group ahead of us took 12 minutes just to hit their second shot. They were warned then moved to the ladies tee to speed up the pace. Busy day but finished in a perfect four hours. Greens read and played true and bunkers were perfect even with all the rain we've had.
