Country Club of Miami - West
About
The Country Club of Miami, located near residential areas, boasts two courses, the East Course and the West Course. Both golf courses at the club have seen many famous players including Jackie Gleason, Bob Hope, and Jack Nicklaus. The West Course features rolling greens as well as many strategically placed bunkers. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. The course is very well maintained and provides a good game for players of any skill level. Conveniently, the golf club has a large pitting, putting, and chipping area where golfers can work on their short game and there is also a grass driving range.

two challenging courses for any level golfer
tee boxes on both courses needs repair, hard to find a level spot on the tee boxes. greens on the west in terrible condition caused from the birds digging for bugs. East course greens are much better but a little slow, this could be caused from recent aeration. overall very challenging courses.
Nice lay out but
I played this course for the first time. The greens are not in a perfect shape but it was fast enough. The design of the course is great, a lot of water and the sand trap are place at the right position. Maybe if I can play this course at fall it should be in a better shape.
course easy, but greens are tricky
Love this course, but did not have a cart girl on the course. This would help players when it is hot.
East Course gave us a great day of golf
This course time slot for each player gave us time to play not be rushed with players breathing down your back wanting you to push on.
I enjoyed the course
The greens had just been punched so the putting surface was awful this first week of May. In a few weeks the greens will be great.
Since with the great GN 2 for one deal, the two of played for 23 bucks a person and the fast pace of play, I have no complaints.
I plan on playing CC of Miami again soon.
nice cource to play on , and excellent for the money!!
Very enjoyable, fun to play layout, enough challenge , but not overwhelming. I can see why this course was Arnold's favorite some years ago.
I will play it often.
The course has an excellent layout and was challenging from the back tees
I played the West course early on Monday morning before the crowds arrived and finished the round in 2 hours and 10 minutes. It was my first time playing the course and found the course to be in good condition. Next time I am in the area, I will come back and play the East course. I interacted with 3 members of the course staff and they were very friendly and informative.
not bad for the money
the layout is ok, greens good and fairways fair. tees were ok too. for me the little extras were missing like cups, water and ice before you tee off. no tees in the cart nor towels. am i being fussy - probably. no memorable holes though. it what it is - cheap days golf.
Great staff and a good course
I have played CC of Miami several times and each time it is a pleasure and I enjoy myself.
Great place
Could be great.. but it aint
Took my golfnow tee time but did not have spot for me. Waited over an hour, before I reminded the starter I was still there. Don't expect your tee time to be for real. Too bad, was looking forward to a fun day.
Not bad, wide open
Played the east, it was a little short. Fun course, average shape at best. Wide open, not to much water. Good for the money.
The course is great
Loved the course but couldn't evaluate on your review as it is too difficult to move your ratings. The greens were excellent with consistent speed, Tee boxes were well maintained.
Course needs some work - particularly the fairways.
Good value for the money. However, the fairways need some work - greens are OK
Interesting layout but course only in fair condition. Good value for the money.
I liked the course layout for the variety in the design. There were a lot of strategically placed sand traps but the landing areas were reasoanble. While the scorecard shows water on every hole, it rarely came into play unless you really hit far right or left. The course could use some attention. Fairways were generally okay. Greens looked like they had been dressed recently but they were fast and true. Tee boxes were in bad shape and there were small weeds around a number of greens. The driving range looked like a disaster. However with the Golf Now discount, I thought it was a good choice to get the rust off my game while in Miami for spring break.
Go West young man
Played the West course 2 days prior to playing the East course. When I asked,at the desk, if conditions were different on each they said that both were equally in good condition. This turned out to be untrue. The West course was in much better shape, especially in the fairways. The West was more difficult but also more scenic. The East was somewhat shabby but OK if you are interested in a better score. Both are bargains at Golf Now.
Challenging enough and wide open
CC of Miami - West wasn't the nicest course I played in my shore time in Miami, FL, but the value was significant. Playing the course, it felt very similar to the Pete Dye course at Westin Mission Hills with added water hazards. Overall, not too tough if you are hitting your teeshots straight (a major challenge of my game), but fun layout. Give it a chance and for the value ($55) it's a great course.
Not a bad course for a novice player looking to get some rounds under their belt.
Greens were well maintained. Some of the tee boxes need a little attention.
Should have went to the beach
Due to a scheduling conflict at the course, played the West course on a Saturday. Perhaps poor course conditions were due to a tournament held earlier in the week. Greens were okay, but inconsistent. Numerous bare spot in fairway, and water on almost every hole. Probably won't play again.
