About
UNC Finley Golf Course is one of the top 20 collegiate courses in the country. The club offers a well conditioned comprehensive facility with a driving range, putting green, and chipping. Tom Fazio designed this challenging layout that is diverse enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. He included his trademark false fronts and greenside bunkers. To keep the golf course approachable, there are several different ways to play the bunkers and there are numerous risk-reward opportunities. Seven sets of tees ranging from about 5,000 to 7,300 yards make the course even more versatile. The 15th through the 17th are a beautiful stretch of holes that provide a formidable test as well. The excellent conditions are another feature of the UNC Finley golf course that has made it popular.

Not worth the money
The fairways and tee boxes were great but the pace of play and greens were horrendous. Every green had dozens of pitch marks. Take your money elsewhere because it’s way overpriced for the conditions.
The greens had been aerated about a week ago and have not quite recovered yet. Otherwise condition of the course was excellent.

It's A Great Course, But Someone Needs to Fix the Greens
The course is beautiful, and it is largely in great shape. The one exception being the greens... TERRIBLE. There were massive divots, holes, and all sorts of different damage to nearly every one of them. It was very disappointing because it was a really nice layout, the fairways/rough/tee boxes were all in good shape. Bottom line: we had a great time out there, but the greens were an embarrassment considering we paid $98/per.

Nice public course
The course was great. The staff was supper welcoming and the only thing that needed closer attention were the restrooms near the driving range.

Fantastic layout, impressive conditions, challenging but accessible - this course was everything you want in a course. We played in the first tee time as a twosome and finished in less than 3 hours. I will define back!

The greens rolled well, but there were lots of divots from players not fixing their approach shots.

Finally Made It To Finley
I'm a UNC alumni, Class of 91, and this was my first time playing the course. My wife and I are both beginning golfers and we really enjoyed the course. We will definitely come back, maybe when it is a bit cooler, since it was 85 degrees this time around.

Good overall
A good course, definitely one of the best non-private courses in the area. Just a little bit over watered, particularly on the driving range. Probably would have preferred to pay about $75 instead of $90 for what we got but still a great place

First time playing, thought the course was in great shape. Great staff, the starter Kirk provided a great overview. Nice relaxed pace of play and finished in just under 4 hrs

Excellent golf course. Tough but fair. From tee to green the course is awesome. Golf Shop very professional and positive. Very nice putting, chipping and driving range. I will come back for sure.
