About
UNC Finley Golf Course is one of the top 20 collegiate courses in the country. The club offers a well conditioned comprehensive facility with a driving range, putting green, and chipping. Tom Fazio designed this challenging layout that is diverse enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. He included his trademark false fronts and greenside bunkers. To keep the golf course approachable, there are several different ways to play the bunkers and there are numerous risk-reward opportunities. Seven sets of tees ranging from about 5,000 to 7,300 yards make the course even more versatile. The 15th through the 17th are a beautiful stretch of holes that provide a formidable test as well. The excellent conditions are another feature of the UNC Finley golf course that has made it popular.

Greens a Little Slow
Greens were on the slow side, a little furry and had been small tine punched.....they are bent grass. Rest of course is in excellent condition. Go get it before the July/August heat makes the greens a mess.

Average course -Slow greens
Not too exciting of a course.Greens slow .Rates high .Lots of players in t-shirts playing .Was expecting more.This is a 1 and done course .

Greens aeration ...
Although they had an "aeration warning" posted, I called to inquire on the shape of the greens. I was told this was 2 weeks old and about to expire. The greens were in decent shape.
They were not. Putting was very bad.

Besides some standing water and overall wet areas the couse played well. Great staff but the main dinning was closed.

First time at UNC
Staying in Raleigh for a week and decided to go play UNC Finley. The only complaint I have was the greens were slow as molasses. Giving them the benefit of the doubt because they just got punched after I assume UNCs golf season ended a couple weeks ago. The course was in amazing shape otherwise. The only complaint is that they acted like I had committed murder when I walked in without a mask. I’m fully vaccinated and the rest of the country is essentially wide open. I know NC is wide open from what I’ve seen since I’ve been here, and as strict as they are on campus, they didn’t have free masks to offer or even a mask that I could purchase. Other than that, loved this place, even being a die hard Kentucky fan. But this course was amazing. Would highly recommend, especially once the greens fix themselves.

Greens were sad. No warning when signed up. Concessions poor. No improvement for last 10 years.

Course was aerated recently so greens needed some time to recover but by the mid/end of summer the course will be great. Layout is really nice with no houses on the course, holes don’t overlap a ton, and a ton of nature/animals around. Very quiet and peaceful.

Only time I’d ever say Carolina beats Duke
Not to dis my alma mater, but wow this is a nice course! If you’re looking for a fun, visually stunning play to get a perfect round of 18 in the Triangle, this is it.

Above expectations
We were given proper warning about the greens being aerated. But the layout is super fun and fair. Would recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind paying around $100 for a round of golf.
