The Wizard Golf Course

The greens were terrible, but the fairways were okay.

Great links style layout and course design. Tee boxes and fairways. Terrible condition of the greens. And the rough just off the fairways is to long. I don’t mind being punished but I don’t like not being able to find my ball just a couple yards off the fairway. But all in all could be a very good course with some maintenance

The greens are the worst I’ve seen in 35 years of playing golf. Never once given the slightest heads up on how bad they were. Stay away until they can do something about the greens.

Very nice facility awesome clubhouse. Greens were a bit chewed up. Rough was 4 inches and absolutely cost you strokes

First off, this course tee to green is in fantastic shape. The greens have some turf loss due to the extreme heat.. But 16 of 18 greens still rolled jyst fine. These are bent grass greens, so they are expected to struggle in hot summers. The rest of the year, these greens are very good. Staff is super friendly and the pro shop has lits of terrific logoed merch.

This was my first time playing the Wizard and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was great.

Course was in great shape… a little wet but can’t control Mother Nature. Can’t beat the deal, $70-80 for the round with cart, lunch and 2 beers or soft drinks and a $10 coupon for merch in the pro shop. Staff was very friendly. Second time playing The Wizard and won’t be the last!

This was a wonderful course and the staff was top notch!!! If you want a great course and staff!! Then this is your place!!!! I have played alot of courses and this place rocks!!! If you make the effort to be friendly, this place and staff will pay it forward to you!!! This course was my replacement over the Greg Norman course at Barefoot!! I know that made the right choice!!! Absolutely gorgeous golf course! The layout is pretty straightforward, nice wide fairways and large greens, the conditions were outstanding, despite the summer heat. What really sets this place apart is the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff—they went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience from the moment we arrived. Golfed with my 11 yr old son, and the staff made sure he felt welcomed. We will be back for another round. Highly recommended!

Excellent conditions of the 3 courses we played all week (TPC Myrtle Beach, Blackmoor and The Wizard). The value was excellent with your round you get a sandwich/2hotdogs and 2 drinks. Course staff as soon as we were done with each hole they were checking each greens moisture and watering as needed.

The course conditions were the best I’ve seen in years. Fairways, greens, tee boxes, cart paths, you name it - all in pristine condition. And, we basically had the course to ourselves. Wizard calls itself a Scottish style course, and its clubhouse reflects it. I booked our tee time through Golf Now, and our round included lunch and two drinks, plus a $10 discount on anything in the pro shop.
