The Wizard Golf Course

Well maintained. Greens were nearly recovered from an aeration that appeared to be a few weeks old. Putted fairly well most of the time but not perfect. Fairways and rough were good. Had two fivesomes playing in front of us which really slowed up pace of play but still finished in about 4 1/2 hours. Appreciated the lunch and drinks included in the price. We would play it again. Preferably with no fivesomes in front of us.

My wife and and I played as a twosome. There is plenty of opportunity to hit the driver and bomb it if you are reasonably accurate and don't hit a large fade/slice. We got coupons for 2 hot dogs or 1 sandwich + two beers. This was a pay at the course reservation. Make sure you get the quoted rate as there was some confusion when we paid for our round.

The wizard is a fantastic course, challenging and great lay out. It reminds me of playing in Scotland.

Fairways are good, very disappointing that they plug greens and tell no one and don’t discount the price. The deal included lunch which was a choice of a cold sandwich or hot dog. Don’t bother. Overpriced for condition of greens. Golfnow has some responsibility to know what they are selling.

I cannot say enough about the Wizard and the beautiful condition tge course was (is), and I cannot say enough about the incredible staff and how nice they are. If you want to play a really nice course that can be challenging at times, the Wizard will fit the bill. I have played there before, and I will definitely play there again!

Have played numerous Myrtle Beach South courses such as Pawleys’s plantation, Heritage,, Litchfield, and Waukesha East courses. Loved the courses but wanted to try something different. The Wizard met my expectations and more. First I come into the clubhouse to pay and was given a coupon for $10.00 towards the Pro shop. Another coupon for 2 free beers and 2 hot dogs or sandwiches. I then get out on the course which was very well taken care of. Each hole appeared to be somewhat different from the previous hole. You would be getting used to some narrow areas than it would open up and you then face numerous water holes. Loved every part of it. Great experience and great price for what I played.

Very happy adding The Wizard to the rotation. Loved everything about the course and people in the clubhouse. Super friendly and helpful. A few of the greens had some sand left, but in a week they will be perfect! For early spring golf, the course was in great shape.

The course was slow, greens in bad shape and overall not worth the money. Even the lunch that came with our booking was not good. The only positive was the people who worked onsite. Each person was helpful and very nice.

Nice layout for price. Played twice while in MB. Love the final three holes as finishing holes.
