Golfer Reviews
Replay!
Great greens, the fastest and smoothest in the area.
27 Holes, excellent deal on a 9 hole replay.
Free range balls!
Friendly and hard working staff.
Prepare for a long round
I had played this course once before in the summer... not too busy. This time, there was a fairly good size crowd. I thought it wouldn't be bad with 27 holes available... wrong! The first 9 holes (Bay) took right at 3 hours!!! The back 9 holes (Sand) took 2 1/2 hours. It really is a shame... great course, good weather... poor management. Seems this is club that believes on stuffing as many people as possible on the course.
I won't be back again...
From Head Golf Professional Brett Thomaswick;
Sandpiper Bay enjoys a slower more relaxed pace of play during the summer months with fewer rounds and hotter temperatures. In the fall we experience consistent sell outs of our tee sheet with 8 minute tee time intervals and the use of all 27 holes.
Our pace of play policy includes encouraging golfers to play the correct set of tees and to stay behind the group in front of you and not just in front of the group behind you. We feel pace of play is every golfers responsibility and try our best to offer an enjoyable experience.
As stated earlier, we offer 8 minute tee time intervals and only have 2 full hours of bookings before the turn. We do not squeeze any golfers or force a turn of longer than 2 hours.
Please come early before your tee time and enjoy complimentary range balls.
Good layout, multiple tees so playable for any handicap
Excellent golf course, well kept. New greens are great.
Awesome time!
Great golf course! Fantastic price! Maybe our all time favorite at the beach!!!
Great course to play
We enjoyed the course. The greens were nice. My only complaint is that it was a very slow round. They allowed a five-some of women to play..I am a woman so I can say that! We said something to the starter and he said he'd drive around to make sure the play was on pace and he did not. There were 2 holes open in front of them and they didn't allow anyone to go thru.
Accommodating
I have always found staff to be friendly and accommodating. Great shape and driving range ballls a plus
Perfect Golf Dayh
Course was in really great conditions. Fairway were great, greens, fast but true
Long course
The distance was average 6300+ but the fairways were very soft giving 0 roll. Play up tees from where you normally play if you want to enjoy your round. ps The greens had been punched within the last 2 weeks and were bumpy but playable.
Lots of Fun
This is a fun course to play. The course has been in good condition every time we've played it. The greens are especially nice for the price. A little rough on some edges (e.g. some cart path areas, some areas just off the path) but they are in the middle of improving that with new sod, etc. Otherwise, everything was really very nice. In addition to conditions and price, this is a straightforward and extremely pleasant course to play for people of any skill level.
great deal, great staff
A pleasure to play this course
My wife enjoyed the layuot, open fairways and perfect distance for average lady golfers
Ready 4 play
Fast sanded true greens, great fairways although some wet spots, Traps need a little TLC otherwise a great layout with fair challenging holes. Would recommend everyone to Play before trying other courses in the area. Competitive pricing, great staff and facility.
Yes, part of being a golf professional is playing golf.
Wait... aren't you the same person that posted as the "Head Professional" at Sandpiper? Are you now reviewing your own course???
