Good Day
A good day on the course dampened by the VERY SLOW play. Apart from that greens were in excellent condition and fairways very good for early spring.
Excellence all around!
Played on a day that there wasn't an open tee time and a frost delay. These two things did not change the excellent experience I had. Played the Piper nine and the Bay nine. Both nines were in awesome shape. Greens held approach shots and putted true. There is a good mix of forced carries and dog legs throughout. The value was beyond what I expected as it included cart and all the range balls you could hit for $30. The practice facility may not be big but it is nice. Septate chipping and putting area which is always nice. The staff was amazing. Despite the frost delay being about 40 minutes the staff got every one started in a timely manner and the round still only took 4.5 hours despite being fully booked. The pro shop was nicely stocked and the restaurant made good food and delicious Bloody Mary's. If you are in and around the Myrtle Beach area check this place out. I don't think you'll regret it.
One of our favourites in the area, conditions were good considering the time of year.
Great course, friendly staff
Greens are excellent and the staff is friendly and helpful
Great course
The day I played, tee times we delayed due to frost. But the starters did a great job of getting everyone out as quickly as possible. The greens are excellent, fast and true just the way I like them. Fairways are a bit thin but playable. Sand is better than most area courses (unfortunately no sands for me). The water doesn't come into play much other than the par threes but it does require you to steer clear as most banks are sloped and anything towards the water will probably end up there. Once I finish playing all of the 100+ courses in the area, this one will definitely become a regular choice.
Good cours , personal old people little rough.greens super.
Best greens in NC
I've played it doesn't courses in North Myrtle Beach and Brunswick County North Carolina Sandpiper Bay has the best greens of all the golf courses I played excellent course to play
Early Spring Round
Nice course in good shape for so early in the spring.....greens were in great shape and among the best in the 6 rounds I've play around here this spring.
Great early season course
Conditions were very good for March 1, and will only improve as the season progresses.
Check yardage to select right tees
Sand's nine has 3 par 3's and 2 par 5's so it plays longer than a course with standard 2 par 3's and 2 par 5's. If you normally play whites when the yardage is less than 3250yards you may want to play golds. Same for the Piper nine even though it has 3 par 3's and 3 par 5's.
Nice layout and good condition
Played Bay and Sands. Bay fairways better than Sands. Played with two locals, a father and son and enjoyed round. Course was very busy and thought stay did temendous job in getting every one off at scheduled tee time. Greens in great shape
nice course but overbooked
Tee off was 50 mins. later than scheduled time,
Too many foursomes standing around waiting. The only starter for 36 holes was overwhelmed.
Not enough carts forcing groups to wait for others to finish play.
A simple case of overbooking.
Thank you for the kind words, we love our greens too!
